I waited 30 minutes beyond my appointment time and was asked if I was taking the medication prescribed, I responded affirmatively and doctor's response was "see you in six months". I asked if he was providing an examination to check if my condition changed, his response: "no". End result: Medicare charge 251.00 for a 3 minute verbal discussion. Absolutely outrageous.

Dr. John Gianis explained my condition so that I could understand it. He has a very pleasant manner and is knowledgeable in his field. However, his office staff is very abrupt when you ask questions.

Do not go to this doctor. If I hadn't refused and went for a second opinion he would have performed 3 unnecessary riskey surgerys on me. Lies about test results.

Dr. John Gianis is very concerned and methodical about his patients. He spent quite a bit of time explaining prostate cancer to me. He did the usual exams and a prostate biopsy on a second visit. It was a little uncomfortable, but he was careful and caring. No one wants one of these but it was necessary and he let me know the results before a long holiday weekend so I would not worry. He is a wonderful doctor in my experience. Very smart, very well-informed, and very current. I also like the fact he accepts my insurance and is affiliated with Overlook Hospital which is very good.
