Dr. John Bennett Kelly, MD

When dr. Kelly decided to close his practice and retire to move to Alaska, he gave all of us several months notice. There were two doctors that he trusted to take over his patients. At that time I went with Dr Brian Braithwaite again another great physician. His nurse practitioner Lisa also decided to work with Dr Braithwaite. When I asked about my records, the staff steered me in the right direction to obtain them. Thanks to lots of planning, the transition was easy. Dr. Kelly will be truly missed by all of his patients, but I hope he's enjoying his retirement

I was a patient of Dr Kelly since 2005. I loved Dr Kelly. It breaks my heart that he would close his practice and not make medical records available! I've been trying since last fall when I showed up for an appointment with Dr Fletcher only to be informed that I didn't have an appointment because Dr Kelly had kicked him out of the practice. I've tried multiple ways to request my records with no results.

After 15 months and about six office visits, and only seeing Dr. Kelly only once, Dr Kelly "retired" without notifying his patients. No notice, no forwarding address, or phone number.

Dr. Kelly is the best Doctor I have ever had he really cares a lot about his patients he takes the time to listen and shows empathy I always feel comfortable talking with him it's like talking to a friend who cares a lot, he is a great Doctor and an even better person and I don't know what I will do without him I have been a patient of his for 13 years.

Heard good things about him, was looking forward to seeing him. Went to him for Dystonia but don't think he or staff was aware of my primary diagnosis because the first thing the Doctor honed in on was my back and treating my Facet's which I have had or 24 years after a car wreck and probably would not and has not ever kept me from working. Told my disability insurance he had suggested a rehab hospital for me (Not to me he hadn't and for what?) and said I had mentioned cognitive difficulties but he really did not know why I was off work. His NP and his secretary were confused as to as why I was seeing the Doctor. His NP was talking to me about my back and I asked her what about my Dystonia and she said "Dystonia?" and the secretary said "you see him for your back don't you?"

He was very kind and willing to listen to my concerns

Staff, especially Amanda and Angela are uncooperative, rude and incompetent. Dr. Kelly needs to clean house and hire better office staff. Wait forever for these girls to do anything right. Never returns phone messages.

Excellent at what he does for patients . Also went out of his way to deal with my employer on my restrictions, he put them in there place when they were harassing me ! I have just recommended that my son see him for his back problems and the Dr. helped my ex-wife to where she never had any back problems again !

Even though I have been seeing this Dr for many yrs., due to my insurance changes, I had to seek another Dr. Most unfortunate when a person builds up a routine with their physician when they trust them receiving good care. The only issues I have had, and not the only one, was with some of the front desk clerks who were not always pleasant. I have had some occasions where I felt like I was fighting to get into Ft. Knox. Trying to discuss specific concerns it was like trying to go through a brick wall with their defensive attitude. I have never had any problems with my Dr. or his staff in the back.
