Dr. John Soteros Xenos, MD

I didn’t even see this doctor just kept me in the room waiting to me that’s just rude and inconsiderate. You know at least the office staff need to use politeness and kindness, and be considerate and not just keep somebody in a room for two hours and keep me waiting. I never saw them and I’m glad I never went back to this unkind, disrespectful, inconsiderate individual and I’m glad I’m not the only one who does not like this individual doctor.

This doctor is a total talent-less clown, and his staff, namely his business manager, is the dumbest individual I have ever seen. When you make an appointment you are made to wait nearly two hours before you see this clown, and he only see you for 2 minutes, and expects you to schedule surgery after that. Dr. Xenos did my knee replacement in 2018, and I have had nothing but problems with it since. He was careless, and more interested in his fee, than doing a professional job for his patients. Also, his office tried to scam me, by getting me to pay my total out of pocket, prior to surgery, in spite of the fact that my bill was for far less... I asked them if Anthem was aware of that, and they begged me not to tell Anthem. There are hundreds of better surgeons in the front range, just run from this talent-less clown, and his rude, dishonest staff.”

I wish that I could give negative stars. 2 1/2 Years ago, I had an amazing experience with Dr Xenos replacing my knee. His bedside manner, and his general attitude was outstanding. However, he recently moved into a new suite, and things are very different. The female staff can't seem to get their act together, as they sent me all over the front range to get a simple MRI, but because of my insurance, none of the facilities that they wasted my time with took my insurance. Even the simplest employee, of any doctor's office in the world, would at the least provide the referral with your insurance... With one phone call, I remedied that, and have had the MRI. When I went to my follow-up visit, I was meeting with this very young doctor, Dr. Joyce. I only went in there again, to possibly work with Dr. Xenos, but he has a young physician that you have to work with, if it isn't a knee replacement. It was determined during that visit that I should have my elbow scoped. Within moments… of that short meeting with the young physician, a female came in the room, and was beyond rude... And she wanted a $1,500.00 deposit for the surgery. I have had a few surgeries over the last few years, and had never heard of anything like that. She decided to have an old female, Brett White, call me later to "try to talk me into it. When Ms. White called, she was the rudest, most unprofessional individual, that I have ever experienced. I would not allow her to wash one of my car collection... She basically told me that the $1500.00 was to protect the Doctor's office, in case I did not pay my deductible to Anthem. I had enough of this clerk's insults, so I cancelled my surgery, and will soon have hundreds of blogs, and sites with this review, and others, so that others will be protected from these rude, bush-league females, and the inexperienced doctors. Doctors are simply a dime a dozen, so do yourself a favor, and find a true expert in the field, and go there. Don't get an inexperienced young doctor, and their rude, unprofessional female office staff. Just go use someone else. Great job of hiring Dr. Xenos...

DON’T USE DR XENOS!!! We were treated by Dr Xenos over a period of almost two years. Over this time, he performed two shoulder surgeries, many office visits and prescribed countless rehab sessions. Dr Xenos also had us take several MRI’s, x-rays, EMG, and other tests that not only very expensive, but turned out unnecessary. After two years of treatment, we are no better off than when we started. We finally decided to find a different doctor and have yet have a third surgery to finally fix my shoulder. My new doctor has admitted that Dr Xenos did a very poor job on my shoulder and he didn’t understand why. This all started in mid-2018 with an initial surgery to fix frozen shoulder, bicep tendon, and some impingement. After the first surgery Dr Xenos admitted that he probably should have done more and that we might have to come in for a second surgery. This was told to my husband directly after surgery to our surprise. Why not just take care of everything while he was… performing surgery the first time? We can speculate why, he had at least 6 other surgeries scheduled back to back that day. The next day we were scheduled to come into his office to evaluate my shoulder. I was still recovering from surgery and feeling very nauseous and was in extreme pain. They had me sit in the waiting room for over 2 hours past my scheduled time to finally see me. This became a common occurrence for every appointment I had with this office for over two years. They never were on time and didn’t seem to really care about it. I was excited when I was seen 45 min late, because the norm was over an hour late. Dr Xenos performed a second surgery in Dec 2018 and again the same result. Poor service in the office, and no resolution to my shoulder. I have dealt with pain, two surgeries, countless office visits, countless rehab sessions, and thousand of dollars to repair my shoulder with Dr Xenos. All of this for nothing. Please don’t use Dr Xenos for your orthopedic needs, there are many other doctors out there that will take care of your issues the first time, and care about their patients.

Dr. Xenos recently replaced my left knee and it has been uphill ever since! A few years ago, Dr. Xenos replaced both of my husband’s knees and his incredible recovery and rapid return to a really active lifestyle drove my decision to place myself in his care and end the pain and discomfort I had been living with. I was out of the hospital in 24 hours and back home. I started physical therapy five days later and my PT was amazed at my initial range of motion and flexibility. Eleven weeks out from surgery, I hiked 4 1/2 miles and returned to yoga (gently) and I’m feeling terrific. I can’t say enough about Dr. Xenos’ skill. He is truly a gifted surgeon and a very personable guy as well. His staff is also over-the-top. They have been so professional and responsive to my questions. This was a great experience!

I scheduled two appointments with Dr. Xenos' office for my mother-in-law's hip replacement. Both times I waited over an hour in a hot office with broken AC, no water, and a bathroom that isn't handicap accessible. Both receptionist and scheduler (Candi) were rude and unhelpful. On top of this poor costumer service, the Doctor refused to examine records from the cardiologist and screening of bone density in the hip. Obviously, such information is crucial to undergoing surgery in your 80s. We have decided not to return. I cannot imagine someone that is this careless and arrogant could possibly hold the best interests of the patient during a surgery and prefer not to risk it.

I am going to have a hip revision after only 16 months because the first surgeon was incompetent. Dr. Xenos is the third doctor I consulted with and I trust him to do my surgery to repair the first total hip replacement. Dr. Xenos is smart, compassionate, he explained everything in detail as he was extremely thorough in having tests done, and he let me ask all my questions. His office staff is excellent! I couldn't go through such a difficult surgery again if I didn't trust him so much. I WISH I HAD KNOWN HIM EARLIER!

I've had both of my knees replaced by Dr. Xenos a couple of years apart. I am 76 yrs old and was walking golf within a month!! I have never been happier with a Doctor. His mannerism and caring for your success was terrific!

Very Personable, I felt like I was in my man cave with a buddy who says "oh by the way this is how we are going to fix your hip" this defiantly eased any anxiety I have about the procedure. Looking forward to getting this done.

No finer surgeon anywhere! I had a hip replaced and I have referred him to 3 people to him. All have all used him for various procedures. All of their expectations were exceeded. One of my referrals had a hip replacement done and didn't even need any pain meds after she left the hospital to deal with post op. I went to him for a shoulder injury after my hip replacement, and although he doesn't do this particular procedure, took the time to meet with me, and then refer me to another surgeon. I wish someone could clone him so everyone could have him as a surgeon. I know he's busy, but he's worth the wait.
