He came in day after surgery and because I requested painkillers called me a junkie and drug addict more then once I was shocked and started crying so insulting I usually don’t even take aspirin But this was a total knee replacement

I have been a patient or Dr Baez for several years for both my hip and knee. He has always been very informative on my care spending time to address all my questions and concerns Last week I had hip replacement surgery performed by Dr Baez. I was home the same day and my recovery has been so much better than I expected. When I visited him pre op he took the time to actually show me what the operation would involve.

Initially very caring not so much after surgery. Plainview hospital horrible. Waited three years for second replacement finally had it at Stonybrook hospital. World of difference! Dr Nicholson!

He looks at your insurance card before deciding if he will help you. Good insurance he'll give you the world. Average to poor insurance, he can be bothered with you. This doctor is about the cash, NOT helping you.

We were very impressed with Dr. Baez when we first met him. He was very passionate as he explained the details of the hip replacement surgery and the approach he used. He has a very large personality and radiates a lot of energy. He was clear in his explanation and answered every question I had thoroughly and patiently. When we left the initial intake interview we felt very relieved and very secure that we got the right doctor. The day of the surgery he was there to ease our concerns in Pre-Op and explained how long the operation would take. About an hour later after the operation he contacted me and told me that everything went perfectly. When I made my "quick" visit in Recovery, he was there and told me she's doing well and there were no problems. My wife went in on a Wednesday for the surgery, the next day she was up walking with the physical therapist. She came home Friday and was able to manage two flights of stairs to get to our bedroom. Dr. Baez did a magnificent job and the… agonizing bone-on-bone pain that brought us to him is completely gone! I recommend Dr. Baez to anyone in need of a knee or hip replacement. He is an excellent surgeon and his work is brilliant! Marty Brandel

If you don't agree with everything he says, he mocks you in the office visit. Made me feel very small and like I didn't know what I was feeling. Clearly did not care about me as a person.

Seeing Dr Baez initially wonderful bedside matter. But after surgery not so much! Any questions or problems he laughter off. Worst experience at hospital. Will be having other hip done at Stony Brook or St Francis. Have not decided yet still researching.

Very personable when you see him before surgery.however after surgery not so much! I had questions and some problems that I asked him about! Hip replacement. He totally blew me off and didn’t want to discuss anything. I need another surgery and investigating other surgerons and hospitals on LI. Definitely will not be using him or North Shore Plainview.

Great surgeon. He was very clear in his explanations and helped my mother feel less anxious before her knee replacement surgery. On the other hand, I've gotten an attitude from the receptionists when trying to make appointments multiple times. Not willing to work with you. Just her tone of voice was not helpful. The person I spoke to was Isabella.

Doc has been sued and has two above average settlements as reported on NY Physician profile. Stay away.
