Very poor treatment

Pros: Ease of scheduling. Clean facility with calming nature music. Cons: As a whole I felt that she did not focus on the initial reason for the visit, but took things in the direction that she wanted to. I would have liked to be tested for the issue that I reported first and then if needed other avenues could have been ventured.

Other reviews complained about the staff. I would agree in the past and I would have given the staff 2 stars. As of summer 2015 relocation she has new staff and I rate them 5 stars. The new location in The Heights is much better except for the parking garage. It may take a dozen maneuvers to get into or out of a parking space. Wait time was less than 1 minute around the middle of the day.

I have been her patient for about 11 yrs & have seen her @ the last 2 offices: Park Plaza & now University General Hospt. Ease of getting test results, prescriptions & call backs has gotten very lacking since the move to UGH. Too bad, she's a great doc: takes as much time as needed, very willing to ans. questions with detail, listens carefully, respects her patients & has wonderful bedside manner. It is only because of her that I stay as a patient; certainly not because her office is so poorly run. Really, if it weren't for her, I would leave that practice now.

I just love the Dr and put up with the staff in order to get to her. She is great, smart, thorough and if she doesn't know it, she looks it up and we learn together. I love that as it shows that she isn't afraid to admit that she isn't sure of something- she is not egocentric or arrogant. She is terrific and I have seen her for many years. The biggest problem with the practice is the staff- they repeatedly get my refills wrong, I have trouble getting medications refilled on time and some have been less than nice on the phone at times. I bend over backwards to be nice to try and work with them but it gets old. The problems vary but are things like sending in the refill for the brand name medicine, not the generic that I usually get and that costs me once more. Have had the staff call in the wrong medication dose (it was changed) but they used the old dose, causing me to have to get multiple bottles in order to have the proper dose per day of medicine. Ridiculous and could be… dangerous.The staff calls themselves her "nurses" but they are not, they are medical assistants and IT SHOWS! She is now relocated into a new location and the staff couldn't even give me proper instructions to the new office. Sigh, that just goes to show how good the Dr is- I continue to work with them = she's worth the trouble! I just worry that these issues put a good Dr at risk and probably cost her business in the long run.

She is a responsive and knowledgeable physician. She has been my doctor for about 10 years and I have no complaints. I recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor.

Dr. Kovacs is GREAT. Her staff, not so much.

I can not express how much that I love this doc. She is prompt and the only doctor who,has spent enought time with me for me to be totally honest with! I trust her with my life which I do every day!

Doctor kovacs needs to clean house and start over with her office staff.

It is absolutely impossible to reach anyone by phone. They have this automated system but nobody answers and you can't leave messages. I had to go in person (pay for parking, etc) to make an appointment. I will continue to see the doctor, but this lack of customer service infuriates me.
