Dr Crandall is a wonderful surgeon. He reviewed my symptoms , my X-rays and my MRI’s and then explained to my husband and myself, throughly, what his plan was . I had a T11-L3 spinal fusion, and I couldn’t be any happier. I feel like I’ve got my life back! I highly recommend Dr Crandall and St Joseph’s Hospital.

Can’t say enough good things about Dr Crandall. I came to him after decades of suffering with severe spinal stenosis (L4-5) and nerve pain. Once I started with some neurological problems like drop foot , weakness and numbness in my legs, I knew it was time for surgical intervention. I did a tremendous amount of research and am so glad I found and chose him as my surgeon. He is kind ,caring and had the ability to explain everything so I could understand the risks and rewards of this surgery. He performed a spinal fusion (TLIF) October 2024. After surgery the weakness, numbness and dropped foot were all gone and have not returned, so I would say it was a very successful surgery. I started walking regularly every day. Prior to the surgery I was limited with standing and walking, now I can walk 2-3 miles a day. I no longer have the chronic pain. Dr. Crandall was very professional and explained what he was going to do in a way I would understand. In the past I had doctors tell me they couldn’t help me, but Dr. Crandall told me confidently he could help me and he did. I was in pain for so long but now I am pain free all thanks to him! Dr Crandall is very knowledgeable and his staff is equally the same I had to undergo a revision of the back surgery he had to perform two back surgeries in one week and he was exceptional

Dr. Crandall performed discectomy surgery on my back in April 2024 to treat a ruptured disc and disc fragments that had lodged against a nerve. I almost instantly felt relief after months of misery, and I feel terrific today. Dr. Crandall and his team have been such a pleasure to work with, from my first appointment right through to him recently clearing me to return to normal activity. He and his team are competent, kind and empathetic. I have complete confidence in Dr. Crandall. I will always be grateful to him for restoring my mobility and eliminating the severe pain I was struggling with.

Believe all the reviews you are reading about Dr. Crandall. From the initial consult, to my six mOnth post-op check-up, he was so efficient and thorough. At my initial consult, he didn't rush me, explained exactly what was going on, and even asked me a lot of questions about my personal symptoms and problems, like he really wanted to understand exactly what was going on. His assistant Kathy was amazing too, at every aspect of the entire process. Just 10 days after my L4-5 decompression fusion surgery, I knew I was on the road to getting my life back. Literally his "bedside manner" was (is) amazing. The following morning after surgery, he actually came in my room, sat on the sofa, and told me exactly how my surgery had gone, step by step. I too have recommended Dr. Crandall to everyone i know who is apprehensive about having a recommended surgery. The purpose of my initial visit with Dr. Kenneth M. Crandall was to discuss the problems that related to my back and for the doctor to then give me an explanation of how he assessed my problems. He discussed what he felt needed to be done, and explained how he planned to proceed. Dr. Crandall was very professional, patient, extremely knowledgeable and kind. Me made me feel very comfortable in his explanations of what he needed to do regarding the surgery that I needed - procedures that could prove to be very frightening for a patient. He was so comfortable and calm in his explanations of what he would be doing during surgery, that I had no choice but to feel comfortable and calm too. I must give Dr. Kenneth Crandall the highest rating possible for how he handled me before, during and after my July 19th surgery. Doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and any others who have had reason to aid me in my recovery since surgery speak to the expert care that they feel I received during… surgery. Dr. Crandall literally gave me my life back. I was in so much pain from a herniated disc. I thought I would suffer in some way the rest of my life - so far, that is not the case. I had upper spine surgery, on February 9, 2022 doctor Crandall was my surgeon. About 12 hours after my surgery, something went terribly wrong, my neck blew up causing me alarm and panic the attending doctors rushed in, along with them was Dr. Kenneth Crandall, I was rushed back into surgery, the quick reaction of the attending Doctors specifically Dr. Kenneth Crandall, saved my life. His quick reaction, expertise and professionalism I truly believe and know saved my life. I am forever grateful. He genuinely cares about his patients. Caring, thorough and solutions oriented, Dr Crandall identified the problem and decided to fix it. Surgical outcome was excellent. I was diagnosed as being acute and requiring surgery immediately. One year prior I had disc replacement surgery at C4-C5. The disc failed. Surgery fused the discs, and I am on track for an excellent outcome. Thank you Dr. Crandall for your excellent work.
