I had an excellent visit with Dr. Malik. Highly recommend. He is THE BEST in the area. Period.

Dr. Malik is very knowledgable and took his time to explain everything to me. He answered my questions thoroughly. I had an excellent experience and outcome with my surgery.

I was having some eye issues and went to see my optometrist. She told me I needed to see a retina doctor right away or I could lose my vision. The doctor called a practice near my home, but no one was available or willing to see me on that Saturday. She then called Virginia Retina Specialists and I am so grateful that Dr. Malik not only saw me but helped me tremendously. He takes his expertise very seriously and he is all about taking care of what needs to be done in the best way possible. I am thankful that he is my retina doctor and I also am leaving this review to tell folks that if you have a retina issue -PLEASE TAKE IT SERIOUSLY- because it cannot wait and you need to see a doctor who is an expert in their field and Dr. Malik is just that.

This was my first visit. I was very impressed by Dr. Malik's approach, manner, and presentation. He answered questions clearly and made sure I understood. It is not often I have met a doctor, that although He was busy gave the time I needed, instead of behaving as if he felt rushed. Thank you

Dr. Malik saved my vision in my right eye after a trauma caused me to lose the vision. He is an excellent retinal doctor and really cares.

30 min wait was just chatting joking with staff, didnt answer questions, rushed visit, doesnt remember reason ur there, dont trust him

dr. malik is rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. he is a penny-pincher who tries to suck every last cent from his employees and patients.

I met Dr. Malik due to a retinal tear in one of my eyes. While still under treatment for that eye, I had the same thing occur within six weeks to the other eye. Both of the retinal tears were due to the natural aging process. Dr. Malik diagnosed both of my eyes with complete accuracy, described the treatments in detail and then followed through with precise and successful surgery, i.e., in one eye first and then the other six weeks later. There were times when I was not able to see, but Dr. Malik assured and comforted me with accurate information, and after the surgeries restored my vision to 20/20. I will be forever grateful to him and his talents. I highly recommend Dr. Malik to anyone with eye issues.

His staff are unprofessional and extremely rude, especially the Spanish lady who sits are the front desk, who thinks she also went to medical school. Felt that Dr. Malik was reluctant to explain and answer my questions and more just wanted me to take his word.
