Dr. Kirk Charles Young, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Young’s for the last 22 years. He is an amazing professional and an outstanding doctor. He is knowledgeable, kind, and LISTENS to what the patient has to say. He is simply the best and I completely and wholeheartedly can recommend him to any woman looking for a great physician.

I came to Dr. Kirk Young for a routine obgyn visit, and he gave a rough and rather painful pelvic exam. I’ve had multiple pap smears in the past with other doctors, and have only ever experienced slight discomfort, and never bled at all from this test. With Dr. Young, the pelvic exam was painful and made me bleed. I understand that a little blood is normal for a Pap smear, but the speculum had blood on it from top to bottom. I spotted for several days following the exam, and was sore where he had inserted the speculum for two days. Dr. Young did not explain what he was doing during the exam, and provided no warning before inserting his fingers, the speculum, or the Pap smear swab. I’ve never experienced anything like this at pelvic exams with other doctors in the past. I came to Dr. Young because of his positive reviews. I’m not sure why he gave me such a rough examination, but it seemed like he might have been in a rush. I wish I had seen the lower reviews before I… made an appointment. It seems that I’m not the first one to have had a bad experience with Dr. Young. Other women are also reporting rough examinations.

Amazing, knowledgeable and caring doctor!

Dr Young is fantastic. I’m a patient of another practitioner in the same office, but she was out when I was experiencing an emergency. Dr Young fit me into his schedule within 3 hours of my call. I was nervous to see someone other than my usual doctor (given the emergency), but he made sure all of my concerns were heard and did not rush my appointment despite it disrupting his current schedule. His bedside manner was professional, caring, and respectful. I would definitely recommend seeing him if you’re looking for a new doctor.

He asked me if my check was going to bounce. Very rude and unprofessional.

Dr. Young is an excellent dr I recommended a couple of my coworkers to visit him and they say the same thing. He is a great doctor and a caring dr it is very rare to find a doctor like him.

I originally went to Dr. Young for a second opinion, and ended up staying him. I was hesitant to go to a male obgyn, but Dr. Kirk is so professional, he is far better than any of the female obgyns I've been too. He explains things thoroughly without overwhelming you. He also listens to patients and his office staff is very prompt and courteous. Great practice overall!
