He scheduled me for an EMG that would have taken place almost seven months after my visit. I wouldn't bring my dog to him. I tried for weeks to get a return call from from various medical directors, including the V.P. but the call never came. After almost 20 calls, all the patient complaint… department would tell me was "THEY COSIDERED THE MATTER CLOSED". "In my opinion" he is not fit nor qualified to practice medicine. Plesant office staff. Dr. Ruffing was empathetic and caring. He explained his findings and recommendations and prognosis. I am already feeling better with some PT recommended. I will certainly recommend Dr. Ruffing to others.

Terrible communicator. Answered only one question and in such an arrogant manner as to discourage further. When the test was over, I asked for his conclusions,. He refused to comment, said I could get them from my primary doctor. He then walked out

Dr. Ruffing was polite, competent and professional during my office visit. I would be glad to see him again.

I too was referred to Dr. Ruffing by my Primary Care Physician. I also read the reviews and considered looking for another neurologist. When I arrived the staff was welcoming and registering was easy. My wait was minimal and on time. Dr.Ruffing was professional but no nonsense. We rapidly went through my history and my symptoms. After a quick check up and a little more discussion he diagnosed my problem and had me on the road to recovery. If you're looking for some one to to chat with about other than your medical complaints you may want to look elsewhere. He has a job to do and wants to get right to it. I will gladly recommend him.

Lots Mercy on him. Never meet some one so cold and arrogant like him.

Do yourself a favor and see another Doctor,or make a mistake and see Dr Ruffing.

I had read all of the negative reviews and was seriously considering other neurologists. I'm glad that I did not. My experience with Dr. Ruffing was extremely pleasant. He was very courteous, polite, made sure I understand the procedure (EMG Testing), and made sure the warn me every time before conducting tests. He was very pleasant and his bedside manner was impeccable. He took the time to put me at ease, make small talk, and after the testing was conducted, put my mind at ease by going over the results in detail and answering all my questions. I'm sure some people have had negative experience with him but I can only speak for my experience and my experience was excellent. I would highly recommend him and I would gladly go back to see him.

Office Dirty, Staff Cold and Miserable, Doctor Didn't know what he was doing regarding my neurological condition and tried to act like he did. Went to another Neurologist who knew exactly how to treat my condition. Next time, please tell me you have NO experience before wasting MY time. Thanks

If I had read these comments before I went, I would have cancelled the appointment. My family doctor referred me to Dr. Ruffing for a consult on getting carpal tunnel surgery. My appt. was for 8:30 a.m. on a Monday. I am retired, so don't like to have to get up and out early because I did it for work many years. I got up early to make sure that I was on time. When I got there at 8:10 a.m., the receptionist told me that she had just left a message on my home phone. The doctor would not be in until 10 and I could either reschedule him or see another doctor that afternoon. I was so mad that I just said no and left. I cannot imagine what kind of emergency this doctor would have, he is not a surgeon or a G.P. it seems like more of Monday flu to me, but even if it wasn't, I don't see him having an "emergency". If he had a personal emergency that was legit, I apologize, but I will not reschedule him.
