Dr. Lawrence R Menendez, MD

Excellent doctor.

Best doctor. I have bone cancer, and he saved my leg. If I did not know him, I would have to amputate my leg.

I don't understand why there are bad reviews about Dr.Menendez. He is the best surgeon, that's all count. I have a orthopaedic friend who was resident at USC, medical school at UCLA, he said Dr.Menendez is good at what he does. Also, dr.menendez did my surgery and he saved my life and my leg. I would have to amputate if it was other orthopaedic doctor, but he saved it.

He was rude and discourtious. My husband and I had a hard time sitting through the entire appointment and not just walking out. He doesn't make eye contact. He talked very unprofessionally about my prior doctor. He in short I beleive has a God complex. I thought that was just a "TV" term, but found it to be alive and well in his demeanor. His staff seems to run scared of him. Not a health enviroment for anyone. I chose to leave his care and find a professional.

If only I could give 0 stars. This man was incredibly rude and arrogant, which would be tolerable if he were a good doctor, but not only did he botch my surgery, but he refused to acknowledge that there was a problem while I did 7 months of physical surgery that did nothing to improve my condition. It was only after the problem was diagnosed by another doctor (who took all of 2 minutes to realize the problem), that he finally admitted my knee was dislocated (and had been since the surgery) and that this is why I was not improving. Any time I run into people who have had negative orthopedic surgery experiences, I ask the name of the surgeon, and at least 50% of the time is turns out to be Menendez. This guy is a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and avoid him.

Dr. Menendez is one of my favorite doctors!

Doctor Menendez is a true professional who is dedicated to his craft which is saving life (and limb when possible). He operated on my sister for 4 hrs, then talked to us afterward until 8:20 pm. The next morning at 8 am, he is back at the hospital checking up on my sister at 8 am. Considering that he spent well over 12 hours the day before performing surgery and already back at 8 am to check up on his patient is AMAZING. Dr. Menendez is just a amazing doctor and human being. Thank you for saving my sister's life.

Dr Menendez diagnosed my disease and applied the appropriate which saved my life and has allowed me to enjoy an excellent quality of life.

I am very happy that I have an opportunity to rate Dr. Menendez. He is truly an exceptional professional in that he chooses to deal in diseases that do not always have the best outcome but without his expertise it is likely that I would not be alive today. Not only am I now healthy but I am walking without any assitance.

This doctor is TOP Notch! Office (Manager, Surgery Coordinator) are nightmares!Experienced 2-3-4 HOUR waits. Been told when arriving ON TIME for 11 a.m. appt that doctor had emergency and running 2 hours behind! I understtod, told the receptionist, "I'll just step out (on hospital grounds!) to get a quick lunch. Receptionist told me that I was to wait in lobby & do not leave or I'd lose my place in line! Had NO options! I was in for suture removal & post-op exam. Again, the doctor is a very good man! Deal with his office with caution!!!
