Dr. Lee Scott Friedman, MD

I took my 8 year old son to an eye doc because he was complaining of not seeing at school. They gave him glasses for reading only. 4 months later he failed the eye exam at school with his new glasses on! I took him to another eye doc who said his prescription was wrong and that he could only see 20/100 with glasses on and referred us here. Dr. Friedman have him a new prescription (3rd in one year for my poor son) and we did patch therapy for his newly diagnosed amblyopia. Four months later my son is now 9 years old and 20/25 in both eyes! We followed his directions and within 4 months my son can see! I am super appreciative of the time he spent with us, the proper diagnosis and plan of action. I was pretty worried through all of this. My son is enjoying reading much more now and his sports game has kicked up a notch as well. Dr. Friedman has been exceptional!

I'm giving a one star review solely because of the staff. I noticed a review before me that gave 4 stars leaving one out because of the staff. So I am doing the opposite. Dr Friedman is very kind and well established. I give his attention to the customer and level of care 5 stars. Unfortunately his staff has ruined it for me and I will not be returning. Every time I have ever gone to his office the staff isn't the friendliest and the waiting room is always crowded. While in the past I have arrived on time for every appointment I still would find my self waiting for 45 minutes to an hour. I never really complained about this because it seems that is how most doctors offices operate. For this last visit I was late by 20 minutes. I was scheduled for 2:40 and wasn't able to arrive until 3:00 due to traffic and issues with toddlers and preschool pick up. While picking up my daughter from VPK the teacher stopped me t tell me about an incident at school that was a cause for concern. While on… the way to the doctor's office there was heavy traffic due to construction and an accident. I didn't call the office because my logic told me that they would just skip me and usher in one of the 6 patients in the waiting room. I didn't receive a curtsy call either from the office. When I arrived the waiting room was packed and there were 6 patients in front of me. I was told that I "missed" my appointment and that I would have to reschedule. I was baffled and asked what they did at 2:40. Did they take a break? No they ushered in the next patient. I was told that they were running behind and that they couldn't "fit" me in. If they only scheduled so many patients for the afternoon and 6 are in the waiting room, how is it that my daughter's spot is now gone? Because they were overbooked and running behind they had no sympathy for me being late and could care less when I asked for my daughter's chart and informed them that I will not be returning. I guess if you have enough patients than you don't need customer service and could care less if you stay or go. So if you use Dr. Friedman's services just know that it is perfectly Ok for his staff to make you wait for 45 minutes to an hour, but do not be late at any amount of time, because you will be denied. Even if the patient with the appointment ahead of you and after you are sitting right there in the waiting room.

He's the best. He even gave me a $160 eye drops for free. 1 bensivance and 2 allrex. God bless him.

My daughter has been going to Dr. Friedman for 23 years. He completely corrected her eye problems. He and his staff are wonderful. Would not even consider another doctor-- Dr. Friedman is the BEST!!!!

My daughter has been going to Dr. Friedman for about 3 yrs now and he is a great Dr. The staff not so great I made 10 calls between his office and my ins company trying to get my son an app. I called and made an app for my son it was on a Sat his office calls me after 5:00 pm on the Friday before the app to tell me that I have to call my ins company to get and authorization code for my son. They always made the call for my daughter but would not do it for my son so now I have to find a new dr. All the office had to do was to make a phone call to the insurance company like they do for my daughter and everything would be fine.

Horrible.. Staff, Dr. Friedman, the care, everything is just horrible. He runs his office like a factory. He doesn't listen to his patients and doesn't care.

Amazing doctor for Adult Strabismus

I am an adult that had strabismus. I had surgery on my left eye when I was 16, now at 58 I had my right eye done. He was spot on with the surgery. I am so happy and I have to let everyone know that if you have a child or an adult that needs this surgery, I HIGHLY recommend this Dr. When you are this good you have many patients and trust me he is worth the wait. I can not thank him enough.

I recently took my child to Dr. Friedman after seeing another doctor closer to where I live, After having a nightmare experience with the first doctor, I can truly say that Dr. Friedman is extremely patient with questions as well as his staff. Although we had to wait for an appointment, sooooo well worth it. I went for a 2nd opinion to Bascom Palmer and they agreed and said Dr. Friedman was an excellent doctor and surgeon.

Dr. Friedman is extremely caring and takes the time to meet with each patient carefully and make sure we felt at ease.
