Dr. Leonid Semion Krimer

Dr. Krimer is very professional, reliable, and caring. I've been a patient of his for 6 years, and he's always kept our appointments and shows up on time. He expects the same from his patients. Any time I've needed something from him (a letter, prior authorization, Rx refill, etc.), he's handled it immediately. That's one of the things I appreciate most about him. Dr. Krimer is well organized, well informed, and very kind. He's helped me with many different things over the years. I highly recommend his practice.

Dr. Krimer is patient, empathic, caring and an A+ psychiatrist. He also offers therapy, and has given me great advice. He has helped me get my life back on track again with my Bipolar, PTSD, anxiety and ADD. Thank you Dr. Krimer!

Dr. Krimer, who I think has good intentions, is either spread too thin due to, perhaps, academic pursuits, or maybe the problems I've had are due to the fact that he is "old school" - meaning he does everything himself: Initial take in; schedules his own appointments; is his own answering service and doesn't provide refills on certain medications. This is understandable, but this practice forces patients to have to call in refills and he takes days to do so, and all of we patients are aware that we should not go off our medication for days at a time. Most pharmacies present a problem to him(he doesn't accept faxes for refills- God forbid) while not presenting problems to my other physicians. I've waited a week for a mood stabilizer refill. He often prescribes medications in way where insurance won't pay for them, even though he is aware from experience that they will not accept prescriptions submitted in that manner, so you have to call him about that.. One prescription that I have… filled monthly, same one for years, he wrote for 1/4 of the amount prescribed. This complicated my getting all of my scripts once a month, and now he has accused me of annoying him for calling so often. If he didn't mess up 3/4s of my prescriptions, of course I wouldn't have to call. Unless you're in crisis, you'll receive approximately 15-20 minutes. He forgets to call in refills and even forgets to call to reschedule appointments. He also has a bit of a mean streak. Doesn't listen to his messages...I've been with him for years, always considering these inconveniences as "oh, that just Dr. Krimer - absent-minded professor." As I wrote intially; he either has more patients than he can handle, or he has other matters that consume his time. I'm a bit tired of feeling like a bother and am considering a change. No malice, here. Just giving possible new patients some things to consider. He's brilliant, just scattered, I guess. Well worth seeing - just know that you'll have some "inconveniences".

He consistently changes appointments at the last minute, and is terrible about refilling medications. He does not spend enough time with you (15 minutes) and has a tendency to go over the same thing over and over again

Dr Krimer always give so much time to understanding your questions and is so pleasant and understanding. He has helped me tremendously over approx. 5 years. He is unique in that he is not only a psychatrist but aso provides therapy if you want it. Sometimes he even hold group therapy sessions. Dr. Krimer goes above and beyond!

A truly caring doctor.

Wasted time and money with this doctor and made no progress. At times felt rushed. His acessibility is not consistent.

I came to Dr. Krimer as a result of a referral. I can see why my friend recommended him. He was caring and thorough. I never felt rushed at all. He always ensured that all of my needs were met. I would highly recommend him, and obviously so does my friend.
