Dr. Lino Cueto Montilla, MD

My normal physician was unable, but she asked me to come in to have additional tests done on my diagnosis. She explained that I could schedule with any physician. I called the office, and they told me that Dr. Montilla was the only doctor available for that day. When Dr. Montilla came into the room, he did not introduce himself. He was very loud when talking about my private information and diagnosis. He was very dismissive of my concerns. He told me that I didn’t need any additional tests, and that I shouldn’t have even come in and that my physician was incorrect. I asked him to do the tests anyways, and he kept refusing to do the tests. When he finally agreed to examine me, he told me that my vagina looked “suspicious.” He has horrible bedside manners. I wanted to cry in the room because of the way he spoke to me. It was almost as though he was speaking down to me. He added to my worries and concerns instead of trying to relieve them. I would not recommend him to anyone. The absolute… worst experience that I have ever had.

I hope he retires soon and let’s vulnerable women see someone competent and caring instead. My favorite times were when he and his colleague, Dr, Thiara, would tell me different things at different appointments and behave as if I were a moron for following their instructions. I have had experience with a LOT of doctors. See someone else. You have an excellent chance of finding a better doctor elsewhere. Good luck!

This doctor's office does not have their ducks in a row. I went there while I was pregnant because the location was convenient, but I regret this immensely. They rarely checked my hormone level and then said I didn't provide a sample, although nobody asked me... guess I was supposed to know? The biggest issue I had with these doctors is when I actually went into labor. Dr. Montilla was my doctor and, although the nurses were excellent, Dr. Montilla was dreadful. I was crowning and while the nurses where prepping, he just sat there with his arms literally crossed. He then told me NOT to push so he could put on his gloves. This is one of the most vulnerable situations a woman can be in and he was acting like he was waiting for his order at the deli. Ridiculously unprofessional and uncaring. Perhaps for routine care, they are decent, but I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

The rudest doctor ive ever been to.

Dr. Montilla has been my ObGyn for many many years. He has always been most excellent. He has operated on me with great success. Not only is he talented but I find that he is always friendly and puts me at ease. I am so pleased with his treatment throught the years that I have sent my nearly pregnant daughter, with a risky pregancy, to see him.

I have seen Dr. Montilla for years and he has never rushed me. He discovered my high colesteral and called to talk about diet. The office has alwsys been very responsive to my needs. I have no experience with him for childbirth.

Absolutely horrible bedside manner. All my concerns were not addressed and was made to feel absolutely horrible. Would never recommend anyone to see him

Dr. Montilla was dismissive and constantly interrupted me, even though my appointment lasted only a few minutes. He talked at me and dismissed my concerns about my progressively increasing and spiking blood pressure as not a problem because it was early (at 19.5 weeks, when preeclampsia occurs anytime after 20 weeks) and dismissed my diagnosed stress disirdee as a psychiatric concern. I see a psychiatrist - they do not handle affects of stress on the fetus. Now I see he IS a psychiatrist and an OB!! I would have never believed it. I was sitting in the corner and he boxed me in and loomed over me. I left (admittedly in tears) and ended my relationship with this office.

Dr. Montilla has excellent bedside manners and is someone that you can discuss all issues with. He took the extra time to make a phone call to even get me into a specialist. He truly is an exceptional professional and I would strongly recommend him to others.

Dr. Montilla was wonderful during our second childbirth experience. When I was unable to have a VBAC he did everything possible to make the c-section an emotionally satisfying experience, including allowing a second person in the delivery room to take pictures.
