Dr. Lyudmila Tavrovsky, MD

I had been there for an initial visit. She spent a good deal of time asking me about my personal life, children, grandchildren, family diseases, etc. Everything seemed to be going well and she said I could go but walked behind me on my way out and said my EKG was abnormal and I needed to see an associate who was a new cardiologist in their office. It scared me. I didn't like the fact that she told me on the way out, and that the cardiologist was new and may have needed patients. After some months I went to another Emory cardiologist elsewhere, who said I did not have an abnormality.

Dr. T. is very attentive and gives such informative care. I highly recommend her. She has been my doctor for over 5 years and I am very satisfied with her care.

She's been my PCP for three years and she's personable, knows my medical issues and her diagnosis is always correct! Have great respect for her as a physician and as a human being.

After going to several doctors who would spend 30 seconds with me, Dr. T was a breath of fresh air. She spent time and really listened and asked questions. Her diagnosis was spot on and she really explained it to me. I'm happy I finally have a great doctor.

Ever since my first visit with Dr. Tavrovsky, I have been referring friends and family to her. She is very thorough, and actually spends a lot of time getting to know us as people first, asking about home life, interests, and how we are doing, instead of just remaining impersonal. She is very caring and asks a lot of questions and gives advice and options to us. I have never felt rushed or brushed off before, as I have with other doctors at times in the past. The staff is friendly and professional too. The only issues may be if your insurance does not cover her, because the out-of-pocket can be pricey since it is a Saint Joseph affiliate, so just make sure she is in-network. The trun-around on labs and getting an appointment is pretty swift.
