I have never had an issue with the doctor and his staff, The doctor always listens

I've been a patient with Ravry for over 3 years or more. 4 weeks ago I tried to picked up my insulin from CVS however, due to the new insurance that I carry they required a different brand. CVS told me that my doctor would need to write a new RX for that brand before it could be filled. 3 weeks later no RX. CVS said my doctors office had not replied to the request. I called Dr. Mario Ravry's office and and was told "No office appointment, no RX" . I told his nurse that I was unable to pay for a doctors visit at the time due to lose of income but would call and make one at a later date. I asked them if that was ethical to withhold my insulin due to me not making an appointment. "They answer with these words, "No appointment No RX". Understanding that in order for me to live with a deceit quality of life, I needed that RX for the Insulin, it had already been 3 week. No one called before that to say that they were holding my RX hostage for an office visit fee. Feeling helpless I… feared the worst for my life without the insulin so I borrowed the money and called the next day to make the appointment to get the RX. The very next business day I made an appointment,10 mins later I received a call back saying they had made an era and they would call me when something came available (Another lie - they were buying time as they had already sent me a letter) I called again the next business day and they put me on hold for over 10 mins, never to return. This went on for 3 days. I knew they were being deceitful and untruthful about my appointment but I did not understand why, I STILL DON"T! I finally took off work to go to Dr. Mario Ravry office to speak with the Office Manager, whom by the way, I called to speak with as I was parking and they claimed she was out of the office. Of course she was sitting right there. She agreed to see me and I was told that she sent me a letter the same Thursday that I could not commit to making an appointment in order to receive my RX for insulin. I just did not have the funds. The office manager said Dr. Ravry made the decision not to keep me as a patient and by law that they owed me NO explanation as to why and she ordered me to go have a seat in the lobby and wait for the paper work.... Of course I walked out. Resolve: After they with held my Insulin for 3 weeks with no call or explanation, after I made countess calls as to why, they dismissed me....Lolol! THANK YOU JESUS! I trusted them with my LIFE and this is how they treat me. I was NEVER disrespectful, I simply asked a question - what do I do when I can't afford to make the appointment right now - how do I get my insulin and why would you not call to let me know. Never received a warning, there has NEVER been any problems. I have ALWAYS PAID. So WHY! Even so, I'm sure divine intervention is involved. I would hate to see what could happen if I really became ill under their care. I believe EVERYTHING happens for a reason and for this I am grateful.

Dr. Ravry listens to you so he can indicate any course of treatment you need. He is never in a hurry to evaluate you. His bed-side manners are very professional. His knowledge is exceptional. My entire family is seen by him and we recommend him 100%

Dr. Ravry is extremely caring, spends all the time you need. He really goes into depth with patient problems. His office staff is excellent.

Here are the facts with all emotion removed:My Dad was getting progressively sicker each time he was seen over the course of 2 weeks without any treatment other than lab work.My Dad went to see his GI doctor, who thought Ravry should see him immediately. It took 3 hours for the GI doctor to get through to Dr Ravry, who saw my Dad. He gave my Dad antibiotisc and sent him home without examining him.We then waited 5 days to get the results of the chest x-ray. It was normal.Over the next 5 days he continued to get sicker. I called Dr Ravry and asked for him to be admitted.He was diagnosed with terminal lymphoma. Had he been diagnosed 2 weeks earlier, he would have been able to be treated as his form would have responded well to chemo.All through his hospitalization, I found it hard to communicate with the doctor. When I asked to speak to him, the nurse or office manager would always call me.He never even called my Mom to offer condolences after his death even though they had benn patients… for over 15 years.These are the facts, you decide if you want him making medical decisions for you or a loved one

Dr Ravry is excellent, however the office staff is hands down the worst that I have ever dealt with. Consistently lose paperwork, misplace referrals, forget to fax out orders, misunderstand lab orders or simply forget to draw or appropriately process lab requisitions, forget to report lab results to patients, you name it. In general if you want copies of lab results plan on a trip to the office to pick them up in person, because they'll never get faxed.
