Dr. Mark C. Gebhardt, MD

In 1986 I was diagnosed with a debilitating leg disease Leg Perthies, for those who don't know what this is its deterioration of the ball and socket in upper femur. I was only 6 years old at the time and could barely walk with out major pain and discomfort. If left untreated I would most certainly be unable to walk. I was referred to Dr. Gebhardt through Children's Hospital. He preformed several surgeries. But through all the body cast, traction, and metal plates and screws i can truly say my childhood was amazing as if I never missed a beat. life has past with minimal discomfort and full use of my leg at the age of 37 I would like to say if anyone's looking for a truly fantastic doctor look know further, Dr. Mark Gebhardt is a master at what he does. This was a horrible experience. We didn't get to see Mark till 1.5 hours after our appointment. Nobody on his staff apologized (including him) about being so late. They were all glib about him being late saying stuff like sick of waiting yet... I could have forgiven this if he provided useful information or a treatment plan. He did not. The results from various tests didn't fall into a neat little predefined category so he was like I don't know what your tumor is or how we should proceed. He has horrible bedside manner (cold dead fish) and he could have delivered this non news over the phone. As a patient i feel like we received horrible service not worth the time or money. and there is little recourse for this awful experience. Hopefully other patients will see this and think twice before seeing this quack.
