waited over 2.5 hours and was told to just go home and continue a hot compress. Ended up being charged almost $300 for the 10 minutes I was seen

I saw this ophthalmologist twice until I had enough. He is arrogant, his bedside manners are deplorable. He hardly answers questions and when patients ask him questions, he answers laconically, or spitting sarcasm and belittling the patient. I had cataracts and he did not bother to tell me: a receptionist told me about it. He treats patients as if they were intellectually challenged people, too stupid to understand. He does not discuss with the patient what's going on with their vision, and I found this insulting. He displays such a bad attitude, he does not look anybody in the eyes -only when the eyes are being examined - and this speaks volumes about him/ He seems to hate his job and his patients. Really Beth Israel Hospital should fire him, or force him to retire.

I have been Dr. Kuperwaser's patient for many years. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field of study and beyond, and he always takes the time to thoroughly explain his thought processes relating to diagnosis and treatment. In addition to being a top tier clinician, Dr. Kuperwaser embodies the larger definition of "doctor" as "teacher."

My cataract surgery went well and I'm seeing from my right eye like never before. Dr. Kuperwaser was reassuring throughout the surgery. Sure, appointments in his office often take time, but there's a reason why - he's good at what he does.

I had cataract surgery in my right eye. Dr. Kuperwaser could not have been more professional and reassuring as he talked me through the procedure. The outcome is like night and day. I am seeing vibrancy of colors as I've not seen them in years.

He's rude, treated me as if I was just a case. He doesn't explain anything and if one asks a question he answers in disdainful way. He looks angry, as if he did not like what he does for a living
