He is no good Neurosurgery!

Dr. Oliver is rude, gruffy...but I decided on his service (Lumbar Fusion) because he states 35 years experience....I am now 3 months out of surgery and worse off now than before and am in constant pain.... He hides behind PA's even though I have asked for a direct appointment with him...PA's do not have an MD after their name... I'd like to know why I am still in so much pain. Can not sit or lay down comfortably, even using the John!...His staff is cold and unfriendly...You are lucky if you get a return telephone call. I am going to get an opinion at UF Shands, Dept of Neurology...and have all the necessary imaging disks. I have asked Oliver's office for the surgical report and they have not sent it. I will get all surgical paperwork directly from the hospital. The law says that stuff belongs to the patient.. He brags that he does 3 or 4 fusions a week and that he has 35 years of experience......and that it's a waste of time to have steroid shots into the back...At my age, 79,… ...it should have been the first option to be explored...After the 3 month period, you are history...and they don't want any part of you..You are left in pain and hanging.......I believe him to be a MediCare money grabber. Don't hesitate...go elsewhere...

He operated on my back. Everything was so excellent I went back and he operated on my neck. All over 9 yrs. Now interested in going to him for carpal tunnel surgery His staff, hospital & everything 5 star.

After surgery little contact with the Doc. After 2 follow up visit to the Doc. office. Never seen the Doc. to talk to. His head nurse who seen me was the most arrogant , no compassion self centered person ive ever seen in a medical office. .he should be embarrassed when he gets paid. I had to go to another Doc. who explained to me what went on. The surgery that Dr. Oliver did as far as I can tell is fine. THAT NURSE HAS TO GO>

Just recovering from double craniotomy. Unbelievable treatment as far as I’m concerned.

after no improvement after surgery and in fact worse ..only reply I do not understand what is going on if you have any other problems call us..why not try to figure out whats going on

very poor services,,staff doesn't care ..doesn't seem to care.. I wouldn't recommend

Dr Oliver did my Cervical Fusion, everything went well and I would not hesitate to have him do any future surgeries.

My wife had back surgery by this doctor and then had to have repeat surgery 10 days later. The membrane that holds the spinal fluid was torn in two places during the original surgery and repaired . She was in extreme pain afterwards in the hospital and then at home. I called twice to speak about the pain and was told not to worry it was normal. One day after the last call, she got up to go to the bathroom and large amounts of fluid was leaking from incision and forming pools on the bathroom floor. After much shouting they told me to take for an MRI . The office called back while we were at the MRO office and told us to take her directly to the hospital. She was then put at the end of the next day and not considered a big problem I presume. Just 10 minutes prior to the second surgery dr. olivers assistant told us that it probably could have been fixed without surgery but since everyone was there they might as well go ahead. The next day after surgery when asked if it was really… necessary it response was DEFINATLEY ! One of the patches came loose! On another point they took 1250 dollars from us that we didn't owe which the insurance company and even the billing department agreed with but as of 2 months and a few days later they have not agreed to pay this money back. This was the 1250 dollars that was our max out of pocket for 2016. They took the money while we were in 2015 even though we told them that we had already paid the 2015 out of pocket.! So now the hospital wants the 1250 out of pocket since the insurance company paid them less than what they were entitled to since dr. olivers office did not inform the insurance that they had taken the 1250
