My son had AVM brian removal by Dr. Burke, and my son is doing great without any complications. We do believe that our Almighty Lord works through this Doctor’s hands...!!!!

Dr.Burke M.D. is a skilled Neurosurgeon. We have traveled outside of the valley to different facilities and often get compliments on my son's surgery. Yes, he does not sugarcoat things. However, his skills speak themselves. We've had doctors that were soft spoken, but weren't suited to treat our son. Dr. Burke has been a strong advocate for our son.My husband and I are forever grateful to Dr Burke.

had worst experience for my family member when this neuro surgeon was involved in his care. He was very arrogant who did not know how to talk to patient’s parents. He insisted for invasive surgery with much increased risk of long term neurology complications when less invasive options were available. After discharge, If we had listened to him and just waited instead of going to tertiary care hospital, we would have lost our family member. Think 100 times before letting your loved one suffer

Doctor serio, estricto con las enfermeras pero excelente doctor. Duramos varios días en el hospital y cada día iva a ver a mi bebe, every singe day la visitaba no pasaba un día sin ir a verla ... lo recomendaría ?? Claro que si !!!

I am extremely grateful to have Dr. Burke as my son's neurosurgeon, he is a very knowledgeable and experienced surgeon. I completely trust his medical opinion, his reputation preceeds him. I was referred to him by several nurses that attended my preemie at Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. My baby is alive and thriving today all because of the swift surgeries and correct decisions made by Dr. Burke.

I had a brain anyersum in 2004 and this man was on call for a baby , decided to take my case i am here 12 years later fully alive thank you Dr. Burke

I don't believe in bashing anyone who spent several years going to school to help people, however I don't believe this man cares one way or the other about the outcome of a surgery. Whether or not the patient is permanently paralized or not, which in this case yes it did happen to my loved one, the dr. Got paid for his services. Please do your research before making a rash decision that can be life changing. Most people in the coastal bend area look for a neurosurgeon and there are few options such as dr. Burke so most people choose him. Travel to San Antonio or Houston instead. If I could choose less than 1 star I would but that's not an option!

Thankful you were the doctor on duty for a horrific accident that happened in the summer 8 years ago. My son is doing fantastic! Because you were working late at the children's hospital, I get to see those fireworks with him every year. God bless.

While his bedside manner can be abrasive.. I wouldn't have it any other way, and appreciated his honesty. I had a tumor removed and had a great nurse named johnny and a terrible nurse named cloe. Doc B took plenty of time in his ofice explaining all the risks and possible complications... lets face it people its brain surgery there are no guarentess. I believe his is proud and a touch on the arrogant side, but I would trust him to operate on me again or even my family anyday..
