Michael D. Jenkins MD is a board-certified psychiatrist who has practiced nearly 30 years and is Chairman & Professor for the Department of Psychiatry at TTUHSC-Amarillo. Dr. Jenkins has subspecialized in Sleep Medicine, Geriatric Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Jenkins established one of the first and largest tele-psychiatry clinics in the country, at the time, which covered 26,000 square miles and now has over 300,000 total patient visits. Currently, Dr. Jenkins has an active outpatient adult psychiatric clinic and oversees a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation clinic which resolves treatment refractory depression. Dr. Jenkins is a graduate of TTUHSC Amarillo campus medical school.

Well I tried once to do this! Just in case it didn't make it,let me say first I would part with any dr except dr jenkins. He is always on time. He talks with me not at me. He is interested how I am doing and what my concerns and needs are. He knows his business and his medicines. I would gladly give him 5 stars.! He is the best. Good luck dr jenkins. You are the best. .

He listens to you to find out what is really going on with you. He finds the best medication to help you. Dr. Jennins is very patient and compassionate. I have been seeing him for years. I think he is the best psychiatrist in Amarillo. Thank you for taking care of me!

I have been seeing Dr. Jenkins for years and he has been guiding me through all of the rough spots. A PCP took me off of an antidepressant I had taken for ten years ... cold turkey!! It ruined me emotionally. Dr. Jenkins saw me immediately and has been overseeing my medications since. I like him and I trust him!

DR.M.JENLINS OS A COMPLETE AND UTTER JOKE TO HIS PROFESSION AND ACTS AS THOUGH HE IS GOD & HE KNOWS IT ALL AND YOU CANT TELL HIM ANYTHING! I COULDN'T STAND HIM, STILL CAN'T!!!

I don't need to lay on the couch for psychiatry, but I have CFS and he has done a lot of researching and working with my Rheumatologist to help with all he can. Has been very helpful.
