Dr. Michael Roy Vaughn, MD

I don’t like to write or read reviews; however, I am writing this review to share how grateful I am that my life has been change and I am a better person after being treated by Dr. Vaughn and Dr. R at DPPC. The staff is welcoming, kind, approachable and helpful both when I am there and when I call the office. This practice is for anyone who wants to get better and stay well not those who want what they want and obviously what they want is not treatment. The true and honest reviews on this site and their website are from patients like me with one objective in mind rob get better, be better and grow as a person. The reviews that are negative, hateful, entitled and just flat out lies will not keep people who want to get better and need the help away from Dr. Vaughn and his office. TRUST ME YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THE DOCTORS AND THIER STAFF CARE AND WORK WITH YOU IF HELP IS WHAT UOU WANT! THESE DOCTORS CHANGED MY LUFE!!!!! I am for ever grateful to them!!!!!

It's going to be hard to really describe Doctor Vaughn. Let's just say I have been seeing many doctors and have been an impatient in many hospitals for psychological and addiction related issues for over 20 years of my life. This doctor will help you if you listen to him, some may hate him because he's no nonsense because if he thinks you do not want help he will not waste his time with you but if you truly want help and show him that you are taking the steps, he had no problem being there for how patients. Honestly I don't know how someone that has such a busy schedule and see is so many freaking patients has the time that he makes for single patients such as myself. He doesn't only prescribe things and try to help you, yes that's important but for someone like me who wants to absorb information and know all about what's going on oh, he can also answer very complicated questions and backup a lot of things scientifically in a very articulative way. Most doctors cannot keep up with the… crazy questions that I asked but he is one of the few I can say can roll with the punches that I accidentally throw academically speaking. Sometimes he is not very talkative and very matter-of-fact, but I've come to understand he is a very seasoned doctor with many many years of experience under his belt and he may not be the best for a person who has not much experience with psychiatric Doctors. I actually had a very sour attitude for dr. Vaughn for years but once I actually started doing the right things and making the right choices I can see that the help he gives me is invaluable. The only way that I would see another doctor is it he retired. And I live in Jacksonville Florida now and drive up every two or three months to see him. Trust me I'm more than qualified to know Georgia doctors in psychiatric facilities since I've probably seen the majority of them and been a patient at most of them. I can't say that he's particular leave the best but he's at the top of the list for sure and personally my number one!

The doctors at DPPC are the kind to go to if you need help and want to get better.

This is for all those individuals who are serious about their treatment and recovery: Dr. Vaughn is a competent and honest physician. He takes time with his patients and always has their best interest in mind. Do not listen to the reviewers by those who want a doctor to feed their addiction as Dr. Vaughn is not one to do so. He is in the business of treating addiction not feeding it. He gets five stars and more from me and my family!!!!

Dr. Vaughn and Dr. Rezaei have helped me so much. I am grateful to them.
