Dr. Mohammed Alim Shafi, MD

Dr Shafi has been my Gastroenterologist since I moved here over 6 years ago. He is very thorough in both his examinations and tests. I cannot say enough good things about this doctor. I had been under the care of another gastroenterologist and sent Dr. Shafi all medical information to review before my first office visit. He made intelligent decisions about medication and prescribed medication that actually addressed my condition. I am confident that his care over the years has made a dramatic difference in the improvement of the quality of my life. He does exams and studies that are necessary for my continued care. He is the best gastroenterologist I have ever had. I would never consider seeing anyone else. I highly recommend this doctor to all. If you are looking for the very best specialist and diagnostician, then Dr. Shafi is the doctor you want to see.

Dr Shafi is excellent. He is a man of few words but he does a fantastic job. I have had 2 colonoscopies with him and both times it went very smooth. His surgery center staff is excellent, they explain everything to you and let you know exactly what to expect. Super helpful. So glad my brother recommended him to me. Hard to find good doctors around here.

Very kind and understanding doctor. Dr. Shafi helped me with my anxiety. Prescribed the right medication for my acid reflux and did an endoscopy and colonoscopy to confirm I was fine. I thought it was something serious and he informed me it was most likely fine, but did the procedures anyways to check, took samples that all came back normal. This all helped my anxiety about the situation and put my anxiety at ease. The procedure is painless and simple.

Dr. Shafi was very patient and understanding of my concerns. I was having some bowel problems and so concerned it was colon cancer from my 1st consultation he informed me that was probably not the case, but still did a colonoscopy and endoscopy to make sure. He sent in samples during the procedure and everything was normal. The procedure was painless before and after and very easy. I had so much anxiety for weeks wondering if it was serious and after the procedure he informed me all look good, but still sent in samples which came back normal. I was relieved and now my anxiety is so much better.

I was extremely hesitant to get a colonoscopy, but at 53, I knew that I had to get it done. I rarely write reviews, but Dr. Shafi and his entire staff deserve a 5-star rating. The process was simple, and they made me feel comfortable. For a procedure that can save your life, there is no reason to put it off. It is painless, quick, and virtually no recovery time and it is done in his office privately and discretely. I highly recommend Dr. Shafi.

I have had Gastritis for many years and I finally changed Doctor's and went to Dr. Shafi. The consultation wasn't very long but the after care was great. I ended up at the hospital with severe pain, throwing up and diarrhea. I just couldn't take it anymore. I told the ER doc that my Gastroenterology doctor was Dr. Shafi. Not 1 hour later Dr. Shafi was at my bed side in the hospital. Now, I have never been to this guy before, except the 1 time. I was so surprised that he came to see me. I am very grateful he was there. I give him 5 stars!!!!

Dr. Mohammed Shafi has been my Gastroenterologist for many years. I have had about 5 colonoscopies over the years, mainly done by Dr. Shafi in hospitals. Most recently on May 15th, 2019, I had to have a colonscopy / endoscopy, recommended by my cancer doctor. I was concerned about having it at Dr. Shafi's surgery center and asked a lot of questions to his nurse prior to my procedure. I would just like to say that the whole experience ended up being like going to a 5-star hotel! The staff was extremely nice and caring, the surgical center is extremely neat and clean, and very patient user friendly. Dr. Shafi and his team get a 5-star rating from me. Coming from me, as a 3-time cancer patient that has been in many hospitals and surgical centers, should make you at ease if you elect / or need to have a procedure done at Dr. Shafi's surgical center. I feel confident in Dr. Shafi's expertise as a Gasttroenterologist, as well as he is highly recommended by Comprehensive Cancer Center of… Nevada.
