Dr. Nancy Ellen Epstein, MD

I wish i could give Dr Epstein 100 stars. It is so rare in this day and age to meet a renowned healthcare professional that actually still cares. Even with her busy schedule, Dr. Epstein agreed to see me on short notice, even as a new patient because i was in extreme lower back pain. My office visit was seamless and pleasant. Dr Epstein was 100% compassionate and professional. Dr Epstein took the time to fully evaluate me and also took even more time out to do a lot of the leg work herself, such as phone calls to other doctors and testing facilities to ensure the right things were going to be done. It is so rare to meet such a dedicated and pro-active doctor with Dr. Epstein's reputation. Dr Epstein went out of her way to follow-up and call me not only once but twice to ensure that i not only understood short term and long term recommendations but also to discuss options and detailed review of her prognosis based on test results. I can't stress enough how impressed I am… with Dr Epstein. I only wish all healthcare professionals were as dedicated and compassionate as Dr. Epstein. This is a legit review for a legit patient in pain.

Nancy Epstein operated on me in oct 2018. I was told by many doctors that they couldn't help me. After 5 more years of suffering from lower back pain , Nancy was recommened to me from a good friend. The first day she saw me she new right away what was given me problems and i had emergency surgery 2 days later. She operated on my neck where other dr. wanted to operated on my lower back. I questioned her about this and she explained if she did what every one else wanted to do i would have been paralized.Nancy Epstein has old time dr. behavior. She explained all to me , never rushed me out of her office and was the first Dr. in my room every morning with a cup of coffee. She is very through. I have had this f_ _ _ ing brace on for 16 weeks and i hate it. But I have to say feeling like a new man. Still under her care and telling me i probably dont need lower back surgery. And i have to add that her assitant PA Rennee Hollinsworth is a gem herself. If i was looking for a surgeon i… would stop here and never look any further.

Operated on me in 2002. Botched the surgery. Thank god was redone at hospital for special surgery to alleviate pain, but could not correct the fact that because of Nancy Epstein I lost 75% of my neck motion and had to stop driving. She is a nasty, self centered ego maniac.

After waiting for sometime in the waiting room and then in the exam room the doctor finally comes in. She barely looked at me and started speaking to me looking at the cabinets. She said I was not a surgical candidate.- I asked her for a note so that I may return to work. She refused to give me one. I was so disillusioned by her poor bedside manner and the three minutes she spent with me after hours of my waiting.

My Wife has been in agonizing pain and the assistant refused to make the appointment because Dr. Epstein was on a vacation, when she arrives back we are told there is a 3 month wait period. When we finally do get an appointment at a reasonable date we coordinate with her to make plans for further tests at the appointment and a few days later she calls back to tell us she is refusing to care for my wife. There was no referral to another Dr.'s office or advice on what to do in the future. Dr. Epstein is more concerned with her own reputation than actually helping people. Sickening.

Dr. Epstein, Renee & staff have been wonderful. Dr. Epstein was caring, accurate & explained everything to me thoroughly, so that I was able to understand. Every surgery she does is her "masterpiece". Wonderful experience. Thank you for giving me my life back

I have seen Dr. Epstein twice. On my first visit a number of years ago she told me I was not ready for back surgery and to try and get relief from medication from a neurologist. This indeed helped but the problem had now advanced and I was having more difficulties. She sent me to a radiologist who she knows very well and got the test results that indicated it was indeed surgery time. Dr. Epstein was direct in her comments about the surgery, recovery and ultimate results. I would highly recommend her. Her skills are excellent and she has wonderful staff.
