Dr. Neal Luther is absolute best neurosurgeon on the planet and a caring & understanding guy. I had to have surgery done under local due to post concussion. My previous Dr. said you will never find anyone to do your surgery that way. Prior to my first appoint with Dr. Luther, I had 2 cortisone shots as recommended by previous Dr., honestly don't think I need to go through the pain they caused me as they debilitated me even more. First appoint and reviewing my file with Dr.Luther he had absolutely no problem doing my surgery. He actually told me my herniation was very significant which was on sciatic nerve for 8 months, other Dr. never expressed a concern. In and out of day surgery few hours. The surgical staff from check in to nurses, anesthesiologist and Dr's were A+++++ Hugs for all when I left a happy camper. No more pain and follow up was super easy. Thank you Dr. Luther for giving me my athletic days back :)

Dr. Luther's friendliness and understanding changed my lingering worries about the inevitable surgery to curiosity and fascination. From reading and talking to friends who had undergone similar surgeries, I understood that after the surgery, I could expect several weeks, or longer, of pain before the wounds were healed, but since pain is no stranger to me, I accepted that. However, to my delight, five days after the surgery, I decided to stop all opioids, and a few days after that, I was able to stop taking any pain killers during the day, as well.. I give full credit to Dr. Luther's skill for this speedy healing process. I could not have wished for a better surgeon! Thank you, Dr. Luther. If the feebleness of more of my old vertebrae drives me to more surgery, I hope to find you again. Sieglind

I have great results after my cervical fusion done by Dr, Luther. Made me feel comfortable and didn't scare me about the surgery. Very confident and knows what he is doing. I highly recommend Dr, Luther. Thank you Dr, Luther

He was very fast. Didn't seem to be concerned at all. He seemed very eager to leave the room.

My impression is that Dr. Luther isn't terribly interested in consultation. During my appointment he repeatedly commented that I'd tried techniques that I hadn't and that my back issues had been bothering me for two years when they've only been problematic for ten months. I felt that he rushed and did not listen. He then referred me to a physiatrist for assistance with pain and medication. The physiatrist refused to help and left the examining room. I left, after two expensive and lengthy appointments, in a worse position than before I first walked through the doors. Dr. Luther may be a fine surgeon. My opinion is that consultation and referrals, at least in my case, we're entirely bungled.
