Nnamdi Nwaejike

I was drawn to medicine because it combines science, problem-solving, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Cardiac surgery offered the unique ability to treat complex and life-threatening conditions through technical excellence, teamwork, and innovation. My approach is centered on delivering individualized, evidence-based care while treating every patient with honesty, compassion, and respect. I believe patients achieve the best outcomes when surgical expertise is combined with multidisciplinary collaboration and shared decision-making. My clinical interests include coronary artery bypass surgery, particularly total arterial and anaortic ("no-touch aorta") revascularization techniques, mitral and tricuspid valve repair, aortic valve surgery, heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, and advanced heart failure surgery. Outside of work, I enjoy running, fitness, spending time with my family and travel.
