Dr. Olusegun Babatu Leramo, MD

Dr. Leramo did my back surgery in 2005 and was and did an excellent job. I owe him so much for helping me through my healing process and he kept me motivated to get better faster and get back to my life.

I had an occipital cranial decompression surgery at Bakerfield Memorial Hospital back in 2011, while Dr Laremo was not the surgeon who performed the surgery (those doctors seemed to disappear after surgery) Dr Laremo was in the room at the hospital reading my chart when I woke up after surgery. He explained in more depth what I should expect than the surgeon who "specialized" in my Chiari Malformation diagnosis. He checked in on me over the following days and even though I wasn't assigned to follow up with him at the office, on the few occasions I did see him, he remembered who I was and visiting with me in the hospital. The specializing dr I was assigned to never remembered me, even though I saw him on a regular basis.

I was abandoned for 3 days without seeing a neurosurgeon after being admitted by Dr Leramo. He kept saying one thing, then doing another. I had no idea what his plan for me was. Every day the nurses could not get ahold of him. I had a terrible experience and had to leave without needed surgery because of the incompetence and abandonment issues.

My Wife was treated by Doctor Leramo at San Joaquin Community Hospital in Bakersfield, Ca. When she was discharged the Doctors orders said to make an appointment to be seen in ten days for a follow up. We tried calling for four days in a row to make an appointment with no luck. Every time we called a different excuse, do not know who you are, are you here for pre surgery, are you here for post surgery, the computer is down, the girl who makes the appointments is busy try calling back in a couple of days. Finally we had the hospital fax her info over to them. Then they made an appointment 30 days out, not following what the doctors orders said. I was horrified at how badly I was treated by their staff members and lack of patient concern. It made me lose a lot of respect for them. It is really frustrating and really unprofessional in my opinion. Fortunately my wife is doing ok in spite of Dr. Leramo and his staff. We never had a follow up with the doctor.

He performed emergency surgery on me and after 5 1/2 hrs of surgery I'm walking inspite of a cerebral infarct.
