Dr. Lara Fakunle, MD

I was excited to because I had heard great things about this doctor & I waited months to see her. The staff were polite and responded fast. However, Dr.Fakunle didn’t seem interested in patient care. After waiting months to see her she sat with me for 10 minutes, didn’t answer any questions and have me no insight on how to manage my recently diagnosed disease. I tried to be friendly by asking “how are you?” And she responded “you need to take a seat”. I was so disappointed and let down. I actually left her office crying.

I am amazed to find this site and see that others have been treated like I was today. But not only did they state that I was non-compliant and wouldn't give me an appointment after calling and leaving messages for 2 weeks. They also told me that I owed them money from 7 years ago. A co-pay that I had to have paid, or I would not have ever gotten back to be seen by the doctor. I paid them as was instructed and then called back to make an appointment - only to be told I was not allowed to have an appointment. Talk about shady. NO ONE should visit this office. I have now located 29 reviews that all give the same review. Beware people.

I was told not to come back to the office because of being noncompliant as I was trying to set up an appointment. The staff never answers the phone and it is days till you hear back from them. I was there to pick up my medical records and asked them if i can get a refill on my medication becauae i have no where to get it from right now and I was told no. Seems like they don't care about anyone.

Waited so long in the waiting room, only to get back in the patient room to wait again. Once she arrived, I could tell she was in a hurry, and just wanted to request a test and get me out of there. Had heard good things about how thorough she was, but did not seem up to par to me.

She does not care for her patients, if she doesnt understand what is happening to you she will tell you nothing is wrong. She is not supportive, she does not guide her patients to find help. Over all I dont think she should be allowed to see Patients when she has no care for their quality of life. You will also wait for up to an hour and a half just to get in to see her only to feel rushed, and no one explains anything. Before I was diagnosed she was sure I had diabetes, Which i do not, gave me a blood sugar monotor and never explained how to use it, what good or bad sugar would be. She is so unhelpful its stupid.
