Dr. Robert Tracy Ballock

Personally Dr. Ballock was a very kind and caring individual when my daughter came in for a visit with him. I have no complaints about him or his staff as our experience was completely normal. As a parent however, I would like to express how unsatisfied I was about the lack of information received when he decided what materials that would be needed for my daughter's injury. We received no indication that "A BOOT," he issued for her would end up costing me personally several hundred dollars, even after insurance paid their portion. Providing some basic information to the patient and family members prior to issuing materials needed for recovery might would be better practice. A simple statement such as, "It might be in your best interest to check with your insurance company to see how much these items I am recommending will cost you."

Took my son in for a follow up visit after he dislocated his elbow in Las Vegas. The elbow was reset in Las Vegas. He had two identical visits with Dr. Ballock, simply having x-rays taken and reviewing them. I was billed billed for a $1500 for the 1st visit with codes listed as though his elbow was reset in their facility. The 2nd visit was only 95% of the cost, totaling around $75. He had identical visit with exception of one additional x-ray the 1st time. I've called several times and I'm told the codes are correct and the doctor refuses to change it. There is no reason whatsoever that we are being charged $320 for a new patient visit, $888 for radiology diagnostic, facility charges, treatment and observation room, additional 3 veiws of the x-ray by a different doctor and an x-ray of the forearm all for a 15 minute visit where the doctor x -rayed the arm, read it and gave him a fabric sling AND had the same visit two weeks later! When researching the highest charge $888 for the… closed rx prox ulna fracture, it is to reset the elbow, which was NEVER done by Dr. Ballock or anyone in Ohio. I will NEVER return to another Cleveland Clinic nor will anyone in my family!

Dr. Ballock has treated all of my children for years. He is the best orthopedic surgeon you can find.

I went in there because I had significant pain in my ankle thinking he could help but boy was I wrong, I went in there and told him they cut off my cast and told me to walk because I had some weird pain symdrome, he had not even touched my foot and I left, I knew that he was wrong so I went to a specialist in Pittsburg and he performed surgery.

My son had surgery for his clubfeet and Dr Ballock was amazing. I highly recommend him. He has a heart and makes you feel like he cares. He fixed my sons feet.
