Dr. Robert A. Battista, MD

He is not very thorough and seems like he is in a hurry to get you out of his office. I had an issue with a clicking sound in my ear and he only spent about 5 minutes trying to see if there was evidence of a possible cause but basically gave up because it was “difficult” to get a good view in my mouth. I then went for a hearing test and when I came back I figured since he had only spent 5 minutes on trying to determine the root cause of clicking in my ear that he would attempt another strategy or at least spend a few more minutes to try to figure it out. Instead his attitude was basically one of "I don't know what to tell you. We could do surgery and put a tube in there and see if that fixes it." WHAT???!!! You don't even know what the issue is but you are recommending surgery as a means to throw something at the wall and see if it sticks. Very disappointing. He seemed to be uncaring and ready to hurry and move me out the door. I WOULD NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS GO BACK TO THIS DOCTOR!

Dr Batista was recommended to me by three ear specialists. He was very kind and patient with me and one of my all time favorite physicians who was very thorough and used his expertise in trying to recover my sudden hearing loss. I admire his skills and manner very much

Does not explain conditions, even though I needed third surgery on same ear. Poor bedside manner and really does not seem to care about you as a human being. Just a number to him.

condescending! Does not listen well. Thinks he is God. Do not go to this doctor. Has a hard time focusing and seems preoccupied. Too busy to communicate and write orders.

Dr. Battista seems very knowledgeable, however I found his bedside manner to be lacking. He comes across initially as rather rude and condescending. Throughout the appointment he improved but only because I pushed back. He does however do a good job at explaining exactly what he is doing when it comes to examining you.

Dr. Battista operated on my mother. He was truthful about the risks of operating or not operating. He was respectful to my mother. He demonstrated caring throughout and has an excellent bedside manner.

Dr. Battista is an extremely caring doctor who spends lots of time with his patients. I've had two surgeries with him - one major and one outpatient - and he has a great bedside manner. He listens, he explains, he empathizes, he understands. I highly recommend him.
