Dr. Robert Richard Burger, MD

Dr Burger is fine if you have no issues. When something goes wrong however, he treated me like the issue was all in my head. A second opinion however, confirmed that he needs to listen to his patients. I suffered a lot because of it.

I have been going to beacon orthopedic for the past 6 months, dr. Burger did surgery on my shoulder 5 years ago so I figured he could help WRONG!! I have been getting nothing but the run around from all these drs. And I'm at witts end!! I have been having issues with pain behind my knee and have had every test you can imagine done, no help insurance miles dissapointed!

My first marathon turned out to be a disaster and I wrecked my knee. After living with it for six or so months, I finally opted to see Dr. Burger. I tore my mensicus in my right knee and had partially ruptured my lower patella tendon. To make it succinct, Dr. Burger took great care of me and did a fantastic job fixing my knee!

Dr. Burger has myriad experiences with sports medicine, which is why I trusted him to take care of me after I took a nasty spill long-boarding and really screwed up my shoulder and elbow. He told me what the problem was and got me taken care of without wasting my time or trying to sell me on some unnecessary surgery. It is so refreshing to have a doctor who cuts the crap and tells you what your options for treatment are, especially when I know full well that his compensation is vastly different depending on what I choose. But for Dr. Burger, it doesn't matter. The man is honest and really cares about me getting better and getting back on ym long-board. I highly recommend him a) for his medical expertise and b) because he is one of the most honest, genuine people I have ever met.

as a xavier alum I thought I would give dr. Burger a try when I hurt my left knee while training for the Flying Pig. Am i ever glad I did! He is so approachable and answered every question I had. the technological advances they have made at Beacon are amazing! dr. Burger is outstanding and he really knows his stuff!

Dr. Burger is top notch. I didn't know if I would be able to see him without a referral but I thought I would give it a try. He's a big guy but he's got a real gently way about him. I highly recommend him if you have a sports injury!

He's the team physician for Xavier basketball, so I didn't think he would really care about a 56 year old with knee swelling. Turns out, he treated me great and after a few months of PT, I'm feeling good again. Thanks Dr. Burger!

Burger is the best in the area. A friend of mine is a chiropractor so when I destroyed my knee skiing he recommended Dr Burger. I took his advice and boy am I glad I did! After PT I am ready to hit the slopes again, but maybe not quite so aggressive.

A true expert in his field. I never once felt uncomfortable or like Dr. Burger was guessing. He is the best of the best.

Dr. Burger is one of the best medical people I have ever seen. He genuinely cares about his patients and recommends the best solutions--even if that doesn't mean surgery! I hope he never loses his passion for helping people.
