Dr. Robert John Kany, MD

My son has ear pain due to some blockage. His pediatrician recommended visiting an ENT otolaryngologist. We consulted Dr. Robert Kany who immediately found the clog in the ear. Dr. Robert Kany treated my little one in less than 10 minutes. We are so grateful to Dr. Robert Kany and his team for professional treatment and excellent care provided. The office staff was very efficient and personable. We highly recommend Dr. Robert and his staff

Called to schedule appt to have earwax removed bc they are close to my home. They assigned me Dr. Kany who microsuctioned my ears. Now I have loud ringing that's been constant that did not exist before. I am very scared, as I also have pain in ears, like pressure from flying, I did not have any of these conditions before seeing Kany. I agree with other reviewers, as he seems to be out of date, rushed, and doesn't provide any information...just proceeds. I am going to another ENT, more reputable and current, for help. My fear is he irreversibly damaged my ears, permanently.

I've NEVER left a review for a Dr. in all my life. Reading these reviews and seeing that others have experienced the same lack of interest to practice medicine from Dr. Kany, I was inclined to add my review as well. I'm not disclosing my health matter and diagnosis in a review, but I will say that Dr. Kany spent all of 10 minutes with me. Within those 10 minutes, 2 minutes were delegated to looking at my ears and throat and "pronouncing" (not diagnosing).. but "Pronouncing" and rubber stamping a permanent diagnosis. The ramifications and consequences of being diagnosed by a "Specialist" means that no general practitioner is likely to go beyond his diagnosis, thus closing the door on any other possible course of treatment or alternate cause or diagnosis. Doctors need to UNDERSTAND that cookie cutter protocol and 3 minute diagnosis will follow a paitent forever and make it very difficult to obtain a 2nd opinion or a referral to another specialist (In my case a neurologist). My personal… message: Dr. Kany, if you are so dis-interested in practicing medicine or cracking open a medical journal once in a while to keep up in your own speciality, then retire. Just retire. Giving me the name of a vitamin and an online support group to deal with my newly "pronounced" condition, is irresponsible and demonstrates a complete lack of interest in practicing medicine. (FYI, the vitamin is snake oil.. read the verified purchase reviews). As far as up and coming treatments, try reading up on "Notch Therapy" available now as DIY effective protocol. Also read up on repetitive trans cranial magnetic therapy which can at least give your patience something that's on the horizon before shoving them out the door and telling them to re-schedule in a few months to see how much more hearing loss has occurred.

I agree he didnt help me and didnt seem interested or even take my symptoms seriously. Look elsewhere

My experience with Dr. Kany was not a very good one. My cousin and I have deviated septums which we consulted Dr. Kany about. We both went through the procedure to correct the problem. Long behold we both still have the same issue and nothing was corrected. We consulted Dr. Kany about this and told him that we still had the same issues. His response was that what we needed was cosmetic. If that was the case I would have consulted another doctor from the beginning. Instead he continued with the procedure and charged our insurances about ten grand. Save yourself the trouble and consult another doctor.

This is the worst doctor I've ever seen!! Please do not waste your time or money. I told him all of my symptoms. He looked at me like I was nuts and said he had no idea what could have been going on with me. He did a scope down my nose to throat - not telling me what he was about to do (just handed me tissues and sprayed some stuff in my nose and had me move to a different room) and then basically shoved it down my nose with hardly any ease. He then told me I had a cyst in my throat and needed a CT scan to confirm and make sure there was only one. I waited almost a week for my insurance to approve the scan, worried I may have a cancerous cyst. The scan showed absolutely nothing. I went to a different, highly recommended doctor regarding it and he listened to what was going on with me and told me right away that I had acid reflux. That 1/2 of people with it don' have the heartburn and regurgitation, but do have my symptoms. Dr. Kany sucks. Plain and simple. He had no ideas as to what… was going on with me. I would never have guessed acid reflux, but after the other doctor explained the symptoms, he sounded right on with what has been going on with me for a while actually. What a waste of time and money with Dr. Kany and now I have extra radiation in my body from a scan I never needed!!! This man should not be practicing medicine!!!
