Doctor seems slimy. Office ran late. Did not seem reputible. Overheard conversation about him testifying in court.

He is the best DR. you would ever want to see for spine problems

I am now a cripple. I can't stand up straight and walk anymore after my surgery. My pain has not decreased, it has increased, but I knew that might happen. I didn't know I might be turned into a hunchback. This is a mechanical problem not related to pain and I did not have it befor surgery. When questioned about it, after waiting weeks and weeks for an appointment with him, the doctor suggested I have physical therapy. I had had physical therapy since the end of the surgery until the therapist gave up. It wasn't somethinb he felt he could help. He said I should get test, both of which I had just had done and sent to him. Then he suggested there was a problem in the area below where the surgery was. Then why didn't I have problems before the surgery. I am unhappy. Possibly I am unfair, I don't know, but his aftercare is nonexistent. Anything could have happened.

He's a good surgeon, but his follow up sucks. He doesn't seem interested in seeing you once he finished cutting you up. I had four surgeries with him and he never came by afterwards to talk to me. His office staff stop you from getting any contact with him so if you have a problem you're out of luck. They'll delay and wait and make excuses even if you're in pain. They may suggest you go to an emergency room. My first surgery paralyzed my left arm. By the time I got them to pay attention and do something about it, although it was partly fixed, it will never be the same because of the long wait.

Went and saw this man and all seemed right with his exam till he followed me out to the waiting room trying to convince me to have spine surgery as soon as possible. Read other reviews from other sites. One patient was left paralyzed due to poor follow after surgery.

Dr. K put me back together with a 9 1/2 surgery. That was my 4th lower back surgery, it took 25 years and 3 previous surgeries to find a doctor who could give me a quality of life. The surgeries performed on active duty just made life bearable; one "butcher" by two orthopedic doctors was finally fixed by Dr. K. He is my hero. Recently inserted a neurostimulator, which helps with the chronic pain.

This Dr takes all the time you need to help you understand your condition. He does not jump to automatic surgery but tells it like it is. I appreciate the down to earth attitude I have experienced. I have had multiple spinal surgeries and I would not go anywhere else. He is an outstanding Dr.

I believe the surgeon does a good job in the operating room. However the office is terribly poorly run. Somtimes had to wait several hours passed my appointment time to be seen. Contacting them by phone is also poor with long wait times and difficulty speaking to an actual person in the correct department. The follow up is also horrible. I got to see the surgeon only once after my surgery but one time when I made a big fuss in the waiting room did he agree to see me. The PA or ARNP didnt seem to know much about my surgery. It seems the place is happy to take the money from your insurance and bill you a substantial fee but I feel its a bit of a conveyor belt. I know several people that had the same experience.I would not choose them again or reccomend. I do not doubt Dr Kowalski's skill as a surgeon but everthing else including his follow up is awful.
