Dr. Robert Scott Shahon, MD

Horrible. Shouldn't be allowed to do surgery. Didn't do anything to break up the kidney stones that he was supposed to break up. I finally went to another doctor and found that the stones had not been touched during surgery. Shahon did not tell me that after surgery, but charged me anyway. Didn't give me the medications needed to stop bladder spasms and infection after the surgery so I couldn't urinate. Told me to keep sticking a catheter up into myself twice a day in order to drain the bladder (painful and bloody so went to another doctor). Finally said that I needed to be on catheter the rest of my life. Not true. Went to another doctor, he broke up the stones and gave me the correct medications so that I could urinate properly after surgery. No problems after finding a competent doctor. Shahon is not.

I love this doctor. Never have I gone to a doctor, male or female, that I felt so comfortable with from the git-go. He has a very welcoming personality.

Spent 3 years with him, he didn't help at all. Saw another guy who fixed the problem in 2 visits.

Horrible experience. Will not ever see him again.

Dr. Shahon performed my vasectomy and it was a smooth and easy process. He talked me through the whole thing and I felt very comfortable with everything. He is also very good with my annual check ups and seems to be on top of things.

I went to Dr. S. after routine physical showed high PSA reading â?? Many more tests and a biopsy â?? confirmed I had prostate cancer â?? had surgery â?? removed prostate â?? rebuilt my bladder and removed lymph nodes â?? Iâ??m alive today because of this doctor. Heâ??s extremely busy â?? expect quick questions â?? be honest and expect DIRECT honest open feedback. Dr. S doesnâ??t tell you things that you want to hear â?? total no B.S. from this doctor. Honest, open ethical and a great person. If you want a doctor to say things you want to hear â?? instead of a direct honest approach - then heâ??s not the right doctor for you. Heâ??s is the best at what he does â?? I owe my life to him.

Would recommend Dr Shahon. Extremely knowledgeable and skilled; performed robotic prostatectomy for prostate cancer.

We visited Dr. Shahon for a problem, we thought my husband might have. We needed proper diagnosis and expert opinion. We didnt get either of them. We had to wait for about 20 mins after scheduled appt. time. Then Dr. brings us in and talks to us, asks some questions and the problem that we have. And then just takes off, asking us to continue the way we have been going on and gives us no diagnosis, no treatment. At the end of it, I was wondering if the appt was over and did we get what we went there for. He charged us hefty sum for this. I would not go there ever again and will not recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic surgeon. However, he gives you the facts. If you want the straight scoop on your condition, prognosis, etc., he's the doctor for you. If what you're after is sugar coating, look elsewhere.
