Dr. Ron Paul Gallemore, MD

Dr. Gallemore is running an assembly line operation. His waiting room is always full & my visits ranged from 2.5 - 3 hrs. When he'd finally arrive to the exam room, he would not even acknowledge me, or make eye contact. He'd walk directly to the charts on the wall. While he was cold and calculating, he managed to throw out a "God bless" as he rushed out to see the next patient. He was highly insensitive in delivering terrible news to me, even in the presence of my 11 year old daughter. After 3 months he finally figured out what my problem was. I was medically fine, but going through the experience with him as my doctor was emotionally stressful and honestly, traumatic.

I have been to Dr. Galmore for many years, it concerned me when my best friend left him because of the wait. I stuck by him feeling confident that he was hopefully taking good care of me, but most of the time he seemed rushed, if I listen closely, I only found out things about my check up, when he dictated my report, then I had to drag questions out of him. Also as the years went by I was afraid of those dye eye test too, that would make me throw up all over the office, I finally said no more, I believe last year? I can’t remember how many years I was getting the eye dye test but I think it was 1 to maybe 2 times a year? This time before my last appt I complained to the receptionist that I didn’t feel Dr. Galemore was answering my question & felt he was rushing me off much to quickly, got worse as the years passed. I think he relies greatly on second opinion but then when he refers you to the same type of doctor, they drop you after while, if you’re continuing to see Dr.… Galemore. . Faithfully I went ahead & went in for my regular 6 month check up about a month ago, but basically the same thing happen although he did kick back for about 2 mins on the chair, but I wasn’t satisfied that he was doing his best, because I had an irritated eye. I told him that it was a little itchy, & irritated, like something was in it, but he didn’t check my eye at all. I did inform him that In a few days I would also be checked by another eye doctor he recommended for my eye tumor. Without checking my eye, he quickly switched & prescribed a new eye drop, that i’m Allergic to. I wondered later if Dr. Galmore had checked my eye prior to the few days that passed before I saw Dr. Merritt, if maybe he would had found the problem? Dr. Merritt checked my eye irritation & regular check of the tumor. She said that it appeared something had gotten in my eye & It had caused 3 scratches in my eye, she followed up with a second appointment to make sure there was no damage, but big changes in that left eye makes me afraid there might be damage? Although It would have been nice to have gotten Dr. Galemore’s opinion too, & possibly solved the problem right then, & maybe removed whatever was in my eye. In someways I was glad Dr. Galemore didn’t touch me, with some of the bad reviews I read about him not changing his gloves, I would have asked him to change his gloves, had he touched my eyes. When he came in my room wearing gloves, I guess he always had before but I really never noticed it, I guess I assumed he changed gloves before he entered the room? But this time I noticed they might have not been fresh & possibly worn all day, but he never examined my eyes that day, so it never came up. He did reach out to shake my hand when he left & I could barely shake hands with his gloves on, yikes, fidgeting, touching his fingers. I went back to my old eye drops, the old eye drops seem to be fine. I hope to go see some good specialist soon that Dr. Merritt recommended. But I don’t really want to see Dr. Galemore again, I’m canceling all my future appointments. He got two stars for referring me to Dr. Helen Merritt she is a wonderful doctor, love her so much, & also the girls in Dr. Galemore’s office, I will miss them.

If you have serious eye problems with macula or retina and any eye trauma, Dr Gallemore is the best doctor for this! Well worth the wait & effort to see him because he’s so well recommended by his peers.

Can not comment, as I am in a process of reporting his conduct to various authorities such the medical board etc. waiting time in his office was for me 3 hours each visit, over 30 visits! was given 5-10 min consultation time ( at best)

My Retina and Macula Detached. I couldn't see out of my left eye. Doctor Gallemore performed a Vitrectomy Surgery to reattached and with a gas bubble. Yes recovery is a long process but Dr. Gallemore was always positive and encouraging. The Doctor is very approachable and even gave me his cell phone number to call. And yes I called and the Doctor always promptly returned my calls and answered all my questions. When I needed an emergency appointment I was seen the very same day. And after my recovery period and follow up Cataract Surgery I have 20-20 vision without glasses. Truly Amazing ...

I have been a patient of Dr Gallemore for the past 6 years and I am so grateful to him and his office. They take such good care of me and have been for years. I first came to see him because I had severe vision loss after cataract surgery. It turned out I had a complication after my surgery and my dr referred me to dr Gallemore right away. My sight and my diabetes are related and is why I had problems after surgery and dr Gallemore knew exactly what to do and has been taking good care of me ever since.

Dr Gallemore is a phenomenal MD and was able to diagnose my macular degeneration and put me on a plan of action to help prevent further loss of my vision and improve my life. He is committed to his patients and I can't thank him and his staff enough.

Brought in my dad after he was having problems with his vision and was very impressed with the Dr and his staff.
