Dr. Ronald Glenn Thomas, MD

Dr. Thomas is an AWESOME physician! He is my family's doctor ( me, my husband and my daughter). Great, no... beyond great bedside manner, thorough, all around great man! We are grateful for his care and know we are in good hands.

Ron was my primary Doctor while living in Jacksonville until 2004. I'm moving back to Jax and will pick him up as my primary again. He's so wonderful and a no frills doctor and tells you as it is. Great bedside manners and a wonderful person!ð???

I wouldn't go to anyone else! When one highly respected and local Dr. kept blowing me off regarding an issue I was having, I went to Dr. Thomas. Very calmly he immediately referred me to specialist who discovered I had cancer. I have been cancer free for almost 15 years. He and his staff are extremely caring and helpful and I admit he is a little unconventional in his bedside manner (personally, I love it) but he hears you even if you don't think he is listening.

I have been going to Dr. Thomas for 2 years and I thought I had finally found the right doctor. Man was I wrong about him. Everything was fine until he got irritated and "discharged" me as a patient because I wouldn't go to see a nephrologist named Dr. Mansur that he referred me to. Instead I chose a different nephrologist to be treated by. When I told him that I decided to choose my own specialist he became irritated, arrogant and belligerent. I felt that he was trying to "bully" me into going to see the specialist that he referred me too. It was very obvious that he is getting some kind of commission or kickback from sending people to this particular specialist. When I refused and told him I was comfortabe with the nephrologist I had found on my own he refused to treat me as a patient anymore. If he really cared about his patients he would respect their right to choose their own specialist. His office manager, who had been very nice to me in the past also became very rude and… chewed me out for not going to this Dr. Mansur. I have read that accepting money for referrals is both illegal and unethical. I hope his patients wise up to him and find another doctor who isn't obsessed with the almighty dollar and actually cares about patients and respects their rights to choose which doctor they want to see. This might explain why his waiting room never has any patients waiting to be seen when I have gone in for an office visit.

I have been going here for years and LOVE Dr. Thomas and his staff.

Dr. Thomas has been a asset to my family, he handles all aspects of medicine for our family. He is easy going and great to talk to about health issues. He is great with minor everyday medical needs, and also when there was a serious health event was extemely pro-active in the correct procedures to to check and refer us to the correct specialist that worked great with Dr. Thomas to get the correct medication and testing done to get the situation handled and get the right care, and move forward with taking care of the issue.

When you meet Dr. Thomas you will know that he is a fantastic professional. Shy about asking him a question? Do NOT be, he is tuned into your needs. I have been in Jacksonville for nearly 30 years and Dr. Thomas has been my primary physician for about the last 20. If I had it all over to do again (a 55 y/o male) I would make the same decision.
