Dr. Sara Louise Imershein, MD

Dr. Imershein is everything you don't want in a doctor. Abrupt, rude, hurried & doesn't listen to her patients. Bad day or every day, it doesn't matter if it's the day you saw her. She'd have been better served as mortician.

Excellent doctor--I've been seeing her for years. She keeps up with current research, and she doesn't propose unwarranted procedures and tests, as so many doctors do . Tough to reach her office to make an appointment, though--can't record a message after automated response when staff member doesn't pick up.

Dr. Imershien is the rudest and most boorish doctor I have ever met. When my old OGYN dropped my plan I scheduled an appointment with Imershein because my hot flashes were keeping up at night. I only saw her twice but when I asked her to prescribe an additional medication and explained (briefly) why, she abruptly snapped "that's the end of the discussion, we are not talking about this. End of story." The explanation she gave about the medication was superficial and I was trying to understand her specific objection because other doctors have prescribed this medication in the past. I told her I was just trying to understand and that I came in good faith. She repeated very rudely that it was the end of the discussion and that perhaps I should see another doctor. I simply told her, very calmly, she didn't need to be so aggressive with me and that was about it. A friend told me another horrible story about the other doctor in her practice. So frankly, I do not recommend this practice… at all.

just had my first visit with this doc. fastest annual exam i've ever had! it was great. listened and gave a lot of info. definitely will be returning.
