Dr. Alavi moved to New Jersey to continue a residency in internal medicine before getting his sports medicine fellowship in St. Petersburg, Florida. His primary interests include non-operative and ultrasound guided procedures. Dr. Alavi has presented at many orthopedic conferences regarding sports medicine research and findings to other physicians. He has also given lectures to patients and primary care physicians about sports medicine pain and their proper examinations and techniques. Dr. Alavi is a member of numerous organizations including the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine.
