Dr. Shah-Naz Hayat Khan, MD

Dr. Shah-Naz Khan did spinal surgery on me in 2024 & at all my visits she & her staff have been so wonderful!! Taking the time needed to always answer all my questions & calm my anxiety about the surgery along with helping me in whatever way needed after surgery. She is doing another spinal surgery on me in a different spot & has once again been most helpful as I prepare for this surgery. She doesn't rush her patients & always encourages to get another opinion if we want to. Making sure we are completely comfortable going into a surgery. Her staff is always kind & helpful in getting any test done asap. With my experience I've had with Dr. Khan & her staff, I would definitely recommend her to anyone in need of this type of doctor.

Dr. Khan took care of me after a brain bleed. She has been kind, caring and extremely informative every step of the way. I would highly recommend her to anyone with a neurological issue.

Horrible deceitful doctor

I wish there was a zero rating. My daughter in law was seen by Dr. Khan in the hospital after a fall which resulted in a subarachnoid hemorrhage and skull fracture. She was in the ICU for 3 days and 2 days in a step down unit. Dr. Khan only came in and seen her once in the ER and once in the ICU. We were told at discharge that she needed to see her in the office in one week. My son was called with an appointment time and date. We got to the office on that date, and we were told that she did not have an appointment until 2 weeks later. I could hear the Dr. talking in another room, and she still would not see my daughter in law. They stated other patients were coming in for appointment. We were in the office for 20 minutes and not one patient was in the office or ever came in during that time. I have worked in the medical field for 30 years and for neurosurgeons. Never, would we have done that to a patient, especially a head injury follow up patient. It did work… out in the end because I called another neurosurgeon and he had us come right over to his office immediately and worked us in. He had a full waiting room full of patients and still seen her. We learned more during that visit from him than we did throughout her whole hospital stay.

She knows her stuff. Was recommended by several nurses who work in the ER with her. The nurses know who is good, and they were right.

I got my appt set with her receptionist and made sure of when it was so my son could be here from Korea to help me recover. The date got changed without me knowing it and was told either do surgery that day or not at all even after explaining the situation with my son and his ticket being nonrefundable. I had my surgery and my vitals were not up to what they were supposed to be so I was only given Norco for the pain as Morphine brought my blood pressure down they said. I went home the next day. The following day I had something leaking out from the surgery site and she was on vacation so I went to hurley er. I felt good for a bout a month then my left leg and foot started getting numb. She didn't believe me. I was told it could be scar tissue. I just got my new MRI results and everywhere she did surgery I have bulging discs and tears with the discs laying on nerves. I refused to go back to her even for a check up as her bedside manner really sucks.
