Dr. Shaheda Bano Akhtar, MD

Dr. Akhtar is a good listener. She is very wise and had a gentle way of interacting with adolescents who are at times extremely raw and vulnerable and at others, hard headed and unyielding. And, they listen. I cannot say enough about the good that has come from her wisdom. 3+ years with her and wouldn't change a thing.

I have been seeing Dr. Shahadeh for over ten years... She actually was the first doctor to really listen to me; she has never treated me like a statistic or a number. I actually ended up using her as a subject in my final thesis. I know I was no easy patient; battling severe bouts of depression, anxiety, and multiple eating disorders, I owe my life to this woman.

This is an incompetent doctor, she is the worst. She pretends to know what she's talking about, but will push meds for people for conditions they don't have. She diagnosed my child with something he did not have. I trusted her opinion only to find out it was not right. He did not have the condition.
