DON'T DO IT!! Hoping to get your medical problem taken care of? Hoping not to waste your time? Waited two weels for a new patienrt appointment, sat in the waiting room for an hout and a half, an hour past my appointment, and the doctoer cancels the appointment. So the doctor doesn't care about being considerate and apparently doesn't care if your medical problem gets looked at.

Dr Johnsteen was very knowledgeable and listened to the problem I was having. If any waiting he would take the same time if you needed it. I had injections in my right knee. Fantastic job. Appreciate him

I had an appointment with Dr. Johnsen on 6/4 @ 3:45 pm at his Scottsdale office. I had rushed to get there on time, and after waiting quite awhile, I checked with Michael, the front desk associate, to see how much longer it would be before I saw the doctor, and he replied, "there are 4 people ahead of you". This was at 4:20 pm. I was very upset to say the least and asked to speak with a manager and found out there was no manager on site at this office ~ he had to contact a manager online. He ultimately was never able to get a hold of a manager. As I was waiting, I asked if my appointment was accidentally booked as a "double booking", and that is when Michael explained that ALL of Dr. Johnsen's appointments are double bookings, which was new information to me. I was finally called in at 4:42 pm - one hour after my appointment. At this time the MA said that she needed to take an x-ray and I told her that they have already taken an x-ray which is in my patient file. Also, I… gave her my CT with contrast disc and notes.for the doctor. I should have known at this point how the rest of my appointment was going to go. Dr. Johnsen finally came into the room, introduced himself and immediately talked about the CT results. I tried to explain my "complicated" issue and realized he did not really read all the notes and test results in my file. He left the room to look up one of the MRI tests and during this whole time he was rushed and really didn't let me ask any questions. I felt very uneasy with everything and felt that my appointment was very rushed and didn't feel he thoroughly read all the notes and test results in my file. He got upset when I told him this. He started ranting and told me that my insurance gives me 10 minutes with him and that I was the reason why his appointments run late. I couldn't believe how unprofessional he was. I left the room at 5:01pm and went to the front desk and asked for my co-pay back. Michael was not able to do this at the time, but assured me that it would be taken care of the next day, which it was. The only positive I can say here is that Michael handled himself very well during this time. He was very patient and polite. If you want to be treated as a number, then you should see Dr. Johnsen.

Office staff and Doctor are top-notch

Dr. Johnson really listens and answers every question - I come prepared with a list of questions. He also went above and beyond to answer questions my mother had about an upcoming surgery and what she should ask her MD.

It was a very pleasant experience. I really arrpreciated Dr. Johnsen's straight forward way of communicating. He provided good information and advise.

Dr. Johnsen is a very knowledgeable as well as compassionate surgeon. I would recommend him to everyone I know!

I was very happy with Dr. Johnsen. He diagnosed my ankle problem, performed the surgical repair, kept my pain at a minimum and has followed me closely. I am still doing physical therapy, but well on my way to recovery.

Dr. Johnsen did surgery on my feet to remove bunions and repair a hammer toe. He is extremely skilled and kind. I have had wonderful success with both surgeries..All thanks to him!
