Dr. Stanley J Rothman, MD

Dr. Rothman was the only Dr. I could get an emergency appointment with to see my 15 year old son. I should have waited the 2 months to see someone else. He is very hard of hearing and really does not listen to the patient . The most frustrating thing about him is you have an appointment at 10:00 AM. Dr Rothman does not walk into the office until 11:30AM. By this time he has 3-4 patients waiting to see him. Was he at the hospital or on an emergency? No his receptionists explains that he woke up late. This happened on 3 different occasions. It got to the point that I refused to go to his office on time and would call to see how long the wait was. Once we waited 3 hours!!! When sent to the hospital for testing Dr. Rothman spoke to Dr.'s there, never showed up never called. When seeing him at our next appointment he seemed to forget he sent us for the testing and asked us what they found. This man needs to retire. His bedside manner is horrible ( not enough space to begin to… write about that) and it really feels as though he is just trying to make as much money off of insurance and you as he can.

Dr Rothman is well known in the medical community. Yes, he often runs late but he ensures he gets all info from his patients and the family.

Really appreciated his honesty and opinion as to next steps for us. Very thorough. Truth is sometimes difficult to hear.

Very intelligent correct in what he says brutally honest. I thank you for that. You have an incredible power to see things we do not I wish I had that power.

Terrible bedside manner. Very rude and disrespectful to patient and his parents. Never going there again!

I must say that even though the wait was a bit longer than anticipated; Dr. Rothman's thoroughness made it worth my while. He takes his time and explains every plausible reason for your child's condition. I recommend Dr. Rothman!

Do you need to clear your afternoon when you have an appointment? yes. Could Dr. Rothman work on his bedside manner? yes. Other than that, Dr. Rothman has been the 1st of 3 Neurologists able to control my daughter's seizure. She even looks forward to the appointments with him. His office is comfortable with movies, stuffed animals and a lollipops following the visit. His passion for neurology is very apparent. So if you can put your own ego on hold for the sake of your child, then this is a great doctor to see.
