Dr. Stephen Louis Dona, DO

I went to these guys to help from getting more kidney stone attacks. It was decided to have x-rays once a year to check for stones. Xrays in 2018 showed nothing, in Oct, I took them an urine sample, which they confirmed had blood in it after another phone call. Instead of having more test etc, they told they would be in touch with further instructions. 2 weeks later, no phone call, I had a kidney stone attack while driving on the freeway, went to the emergency room, puked my guts out, and found out I had 3 stones. When confronting the office about what had happened, they said they had messed up. 2 were too big to pass, so I had 2 operations in the next 10 days, with a stent installed. That was a week of pain. When Dr Dona was questioned, he gave the dumbest and lamest answers. For their incompetence, I sent them a portion of the hospital bill, which I felt they should pay. In return, I got a certified letter saying they were firing me as a patient. I hope this helps every one who… cares to go someplace else, because these people failed to do what they were hired to do.

This was an awful first visit! I was directed to go to the bathroom for specimen and had to use a sharpie to write on the cup(not a regular specimen cup, but a Dixie cup). They did not have wipes or anything like you usually use before giving a specimen. Then the doctor came in and talked to me and said I needed a CT scan. Didn’t ask me about meds and I thought that was strange since some of the meds I’m on can effect the kidneys. He asked me if it would be okay if he did an exam because that might need to happen. Creeped me out! Then the office told me to get the CT scan done and gave me NO paperwork! I’m not going back!!!

Most personable, caring doctor I have visited in many years. Not to mention skillful and knowledgeable. Took really good care of me and stopped a lot of pain as well as keeping my kidneys working well.

I was treated by this doctor for over a year which included surgery for an enlarged prostate and numerous surgeries involving putting in supra pubic catheters. I saw absolutely no improvement after all this time. I changed doctors and with one surgery, I was like new !!!!

Dr. Donna is the real thing. He is great. When he tells you he will do something you can believe it 100%. I have a history of kidney stones going back to my teenage years. Over the years I became totally disillusioned with doctors. I was going in the hospital 5 or 6 times in a short period of time and ultimately had to move on to a different doctor to get the help I needed. Well I will look no further. Dr. Dona is extremely good at what he does. He is also very personable and kind.
