Stephen Raterman, MD

Dr. Raterman is an incredible surgeon. He will take excellent care of you but most importantly, he will motivate you to achieve your best and healthiest recovery. I cannot recommend him more, from his expertise to his genuine care for his patients.

He didn't do what he was supposed to do I do not recommend him to anyone. I went for my post off didn't tell me anything about what he did in the surgery or anything no pictures nothing my knee bothers me more now than it did before I went in and had my surgery I would not recommend him.

In 2006, I had a total hip done in NJ and it was perfect! Never an issue. After a move to Wesley Chapel in 2011, I had my right hip done in 2013 and it has been an issue ever since. Numerous visits to Dr Raterman and he felt it had not healed properly and would need to be repaired. Now three years since the surgery, he changes his story and that since it has not changed in the three years, I can proceed with a total knee replacement. Don't understand the logic - I'm still in discomfort every day but since there was no change, he said deal with it with Advil. Having a perfect experience with my left hip, I can compare. Need my knees done and I'm hesitant to continue with Dr Raterman.

Waited over 90 minutes and there were patients still ahead of me. Would not recommend. They had no problem however collecting my co pay promptly. Never saw the doctor...Zephryhills location.

I am very Happy with Dr. Raterman's performance as a surgeon. He resurfaced both of my hips, and I no longer have hip pain. It is such a relief to walk freely and to get in out of my car effortlessly! Dr. Raterman is the man to go to for hip resurfacing!

I had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders with Dr Raterman. The experience and results were excellent. Restored 100% of my range of motion, pain gone, and back to playing tennis ahead of schedule.

Had hip replacement in 2013 and had pain for years following it. Dr Raterman ignored my plea for help. Got a second opinion and found out I had a real problem, the bone never grew into the device. I had bad medical advice for 2 1/2 years. Beware if you have a complication. You will be ignored and then asked to leave his practice. I put my faith and trust in Dr Raterman's ability, and he failed me miserably. I do not recommend him at all!

DR RATERMAN REPLACED MY RIGHT HIP JOINT FIVE YEARS AGO . I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS SINCE THEN. HE IS THE BEST IN TAMPA.

I had hip resurfacing two weeks ago. Recovery going excellent! No more joint pain - I am using a cane now and hope to be walking without any assistance very soon. Dr. Raterman is an excellent surgeon - I would highly recommend him!
