Dr. Stephen Edward Velloze, MD

I thought my appointment was with another doctor but last minute i got him. I found him to be pleasant enough but really was more interested in getting out. barely spent 10 min with me to discuss my concerns. did not find any value of seeing him.

Dr. Velloze's staff is completely disorganized and uninformed. I scheduled a pre-op visit for a plastic surgery procedure 6 weeks in advance and received a call the the of my appointment stating Dr. Velloze would not do a pre-op for a surgeon outside of the Healthcare Partner network. This was ten days prior to my surgery and after I had taken the day off of work for the appointment. When I arrived at the visit Dr. Velloze refused to see me stating that he would not do a pre-op on a first visit. Why was I not informed of this when I made the appointment 6 weeks prior. The nurse Brenda Thai was rude and stated I should have known this. Isn't it their responsibility to inform the patient when the appointment is made?? I would not recommend Dr. Velloze or his incompetent staff to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Velloze for over 15 years. He has always been sharp, attentive, and professional. On more than one occasion, he correctly diagnosed serious conditions I was suffering when other doctors had failed miserably--then acted swiftly to ensure my care. I have complete trust in Dr. Velloze and would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Doesn't do well diagnosing unusual symptoms. Spends minimum time with patient. Doesn't follow up on patients conditions.

Really did not spend time with me to check on medical history relevant to my problem, nor show much concern for my situation. I really did not get any advice on how to care for my condition, or even to prevent spreading a contagious infection. I was very surprised. I got better care from reading online information from the cdc website.
