Dr. Stuart Douglas Anderson, MD

This man has messed up my life. He did hip replacement and I’ve had nothing but problems. If you go to him check his infection rate before you use him. Where I was it was very high. He was a nice guy but he never took the time with you.

He is only caring when your surgery turns out well. If your surgery turns out badly he turns his back on you. Worst doctor/surgeon that I have ever had.

My son saw Dr. Anderson for a consultation regarding an ankle fracture. The doctor introduced himself when he entered the examination room and asked my son about the injury. Dr. Anderson spoke to both of us and gave us options for treatment. He answered my son's questions thoroughly. We did not feel rushed. We left his office feeling that we were treated with respect and compassion.

Dr. Anderson is a very caring and devoted orthopaedic doctor. I was his patient for 14 years prior to his going to Wheeling hospital. His kindness and communication skills really important to me any husband. He never pushed me into any surgeries. We discussed how I wanted to be treated. We never saw a PA it was always Dr. Anderson, he took the time to talk to us, had excellent eye contact and was never eager to get rid of us and move on to his next patient. I truly think one on one he treated us as equals never demeaning. I truly wish he hadn't left Greenville as I can truthfully say he was the most compassionate and caring doctor we have ever had.

Dr. Anderson treated me promptly for my ankle fracture and addressed all my concerns. He is exceptionally knowledgeable, compassionate, and personable. Dr. Anderson's staff are caring, conscientious, and professional.

I had six operations three years ago ! Still cant walk very well! Frustrated! Leg still leeks!

Dr. Anderson is prompt, friendly, and takes time to sit down when talking with his patients. He talks in language which regular people can understand. He was caution when deciding to have his nurse take my husbands stiches out. He told the nurse to take every other one out, and then took a good look at how the wound was healing up before saying take the rest out. I could tell he cares.

Dr. Anderson is very easy to talk to. Explains everything in detail and is always concerned about his patients understanding procedures and is concerned with his patients in general. I have recommended him and will again.

Great bedside manner. Listened to me and worked with me knowing I really did not want to do surgery. Was open and honest about my options. Could have rushed me right into surgery half way through my treatments, knowing it would not resolve my issues. Clear,open and honest communication allowing me to exhaust all options and then let me make final decision about surgery. Asked how I felt about my progress. Never talked down to me as so many doctors do. I think he is an awesome doctor and would recommend him to others.
