Dr. Susan Valerya Szapiel, MD

Dr. Szapiel is the most thorough neurologist i've ever come across in my career. She has razor sharp observational skills and a clinical acumen that is unmatched. She treats each patient as if they were her only patient and goes out of her way each and every night to ensure they get the best work-up and care. She approaches the patients as a whole, not strictly their neuro issues- and this is evident in her notes which are by far some of the best notes in the hospital. Her sole focus and purpose is treating her patients, and that is something refreshing and special in the medical field these days. God forbid should one of my family members ever require a neurologist, Dr. Susan Szapiel is the only one I would recommend. Dr. Z- we need more doctors like you. Thank you for making me believe in our healthcare system again.
