Dr. Suying Luo Song, MD

I have never had a worse experience with a Doctor. I was having a test to see if I would produce seizures yet she was telling me I could take an ANTI-SEIZURE medication right before taking the test. Being confused I asked her about it. All she could say was that it doesn’t matter so when I pressed for an actual answer she became irate & then verbally abused me by asking me if there was something wrong with my brain!! Seems as if something is actually wrong with hers with that type of behavior and since she calls herself a neurologist she should fix it. So either she had no patience to explain something that should have been simple or did not have the knowledge to answer it & then had me taking the wrong medicine before the test. Either way you would not want to go to her. I left the office in tears & never returned

Dr. Suying L. Song, MD is a Doctor that is genuine and result driven. I summarize my experience as follows: 1. Knowledgeable (absolutely skillful in her field) 2. Determine to find the Root cause (Eliminate what if's and locate what is) 3. Action Plan (Partners with you on the way forward) It's hard to believe that such a doctor exists. In fact, we may all feel that we've experienced the good and the not so good yet Dr. Song is the exception of good, undoubtedly. Here's my story... I was referred by my primary physician to Dr. Song for my Parkinson's & Neuropathy. She noticed I was hunched over and shuffled in my walk. She called me into her office and we spent, what I believe, was over 50 minutes answering numerous questions about my health, my issues etc. She was typing, capturing every response I gave. She ended with the following request: "I want copies of all your doctors reports and tests'' She also mentioned regardless, if I felt it to be unimportant, i.e. blood… test, x-ray, MRI etc." She was looking for a possible pattern, if any, so she can further investigate (pin-point) the root cause as to why I was bent over and shuffling in my walk. So I complied and gave her a book of information on my health. In my 2nd visit she thanked me for the information and acknowledged it was very helpful. In fact she found data regarding my lungs and sternly advised that I should follow-up with my primary doctor. It was a missed finding by doctors but she caught it! To shorten my experience I was taken into a room and was given a nerve test (not sure of the medical term) and when all was done my issue, as explained, was my back L5 & S1. I asked what the next steps were, she responded... MRI first and afterwards, we will, together, devise an action plan. Oh, by the way she said I do not have neurothapy, it all stems from my back!!! Wow, I felt like squeezing Dr. Song but with this epidemic still lingering, I decided to wait and she agreed. A huge rock has been lifted and I felt, for once, that I will not be alone in my journey to wellness! I am awaiting my 3rd visit and look forward to working with my Dr. Suying L. Song, MD Thank you Dr. Song, I am grateful and appreciative and excited that I am under your care. God Bless you... I must add, and truly they are marvelous, is the administration staff, Lisa, Anna and Annmarie. I would say no more BUT when you walk in you are immediately welcomed. Anything they can do to assist i.e. appointments, copies, reminders, information etc. etc. you can count on them. Politeness would be an understatement. Want a refreshing experience of care make your appointment with Dr. Suying L. Song, MD, you will be glad you did.

Dr song has been treating me for Multiple Sclerosis and seizures for over 15 years. She has fought the insurance companies so I could get the medication needed to treat me she has gone above and beyond. She has held my hand listened to me complain been there thru the tears and pain and always lifted me up and said we won't give up. My MS is progressing but she she gives me hope and is there 100 percent medically and emotionally. Could not ask for more. Her staff is very supportive and accommodating.

I chose not to see Dr. Song because making an appt was so ridiculously hard. First, there was no answer. I called again but was told that I would get a call-back. I wasn't home when that call came in. I called again and was placed on hold for 3 minutes before I hung up. If they can't handle the most basic of things, imagine what insurance claims must do to them. Not sticking around to find out.

I have been going to Dr. Song for years and she has been vital in taking care of my health. I feel secure in her medical advice and glad she is there for me. I have scheduled visits at least twice a year and more if she feels I need it. Therefore, I am not sure what is referred to with the question, follow ups after visit.

Dr. Song is unbelievable with her patients a very good listener and doesn't just jump to a conclusion she makes sure she has all the facts. The only negative is one desk worker

This doctor had me believing for 3 years that I had MS when I did NOT it was MIGRAINES in the Optic nerves! When I went to 2 doctors in Weil Cornell they correctly diagnosed me. Dr. Song wanted to give me a spinal tap (which is now OUTDATED and not always accurate) to RULE OUT MS! At Weil Cornell the MS Specialist said we don't do that anymore, you only need 3 MRI tests (NON INVASIVE) to see if lesions are not just in brain but have to be in neck and upper back area. She also said we have a blood test (she did right in the office) to rule out another type of MS. It was quick and I was relieved and did not have to deal with Dr. Song's not so nice staff and her inaccurate diagnoses.

Office hours are not for humans only non working people. Don't call and ask to get an answer or advice from the doctor on your conditionew the staff will call back and tell you to make an appointment. The doctor will not talk to you until unless she is getting paid. Horrible to tell someone they are sick but leave them to suffer. Horrible horrible horrible
