Excellent surgeon. Listens to the patient, methodically analyses the situation, and discusses both alternatives and implications in clearly understood language. Compassionate , empathetic, and committed are traits they come to mind. I’m a bit surprised by previous critical reviews , especially involving ptosis procedures as my surgery went flawlessly, from start to finish. Dr Freitag’s style reflected deeply thinking about implications and approaches rather than bring “self focused “. The appointment delays result from dr Freitag investing the time necessary for each patient rather than for her convenience. Dr Freitag’s bedside manners is superb and don’t underestimate how committed she is to each patient’s positive outcome. I therefore recommend dr Freitag without hesitation for any ophthalmic procedure

Dr, Frietag was the worst doctor I have ever seen. I had a ptosis of the right eye. After corrective surgery, I now have ptosis of the left eye. Before she did the surgery, she put drops in my eyes to determine the type of surgery. I asked her about why my other eyelid looked droopy, but she didn't seem concerned. After the surgery, she again was dismissive of any concerns I had. I researched a bit, and found Hering's law of equal innervation which explained quite clearly what happened to me. What was she thinking? I am a layperson, and after finding out about Hering's Law, even I could understand that the pre-surgical results indicated that I would get ptosis in the other eye. She clearly did not care for me as a person and didn't seem to care about the results. I do not recommend her for surgery.

Dr. Freitag is an awful surgeon. Every appointment I had to wait 1 to 2 hours. She performed surgery for Ptosis in my left eye. On the day of the surgery she did not even check in with me before or after the surgery. She totally botched the surgery and now my left eye still doe not open and looks like a completely different shape form my right eye.

A legend in her own mind

We waited for at least an hour before getting seen. When she finally did come in we really weren't impressed. We will be looking at other specialists.

I have a rare hereditary condition. Dr. Freitag conducted a joint reconstructive surgery on my face that lasted 11 hours She performed her services on my eye area. Her manner and professionalism before and after was at the highest level for all she does. I am most thankful for her expertise and compassion given to me.

This doctor has very poor bedside manner. I felt she cared more about her ego than my problem. I ended up choosing a different specialist who changed my treatment plan completely.
