Dr. Tara Ann Szczesny Mckinney, MD

I had the privilege to be under Dr. McKinney’s care. She’s so down to earth, she was able to get me to open up (not easy!), I felt like a person. She helped & encouraged me to see myself as she had seen me. I left as the person I lost years before. I became ME again- in the short time I had w/her in 2013. I didn’t ever, feel as strong & motivated as she helped me to become. It was one of the toughest times in my life as she helped me face my fears & deal/w the traumatic experience I had just been through. I no longer felt weak or lost -I felt whole. She had also, went out of her way- on her own time to speak and reassure my family I was doing well. I actually, felt alive- living life not just surviving it for the first time in many years! I still had to deal with the situation I sought help for...after, months of constant distress I had become unraveled. Called to see if she still worked at the facility I was once, under her care before, driving hours. I was told she was there- I… arrived she no longer worked on the campus. life happens... I haven’t ever, had a doctor that helped me as much as she had. To this day she is the best in the field. I have been and seen many doctors no one has helped me nor compares to her care and guidance she I had received in order to move forward. I haven’t ever felt as comfortable nor opened up so quickly. She’s truly one of a kind! I am grateful for everything she has done and given me years ago. I wish she was still my doctor and able to see her again.
