Dr. Thomas Sena, MD

Sena is known for botching people and I was botched. I had a breast reduction and I will not go back to try to get him to fix it. We discussed a lift and a reduction. You know because there was obviously going to be extra skin when taking 5+ pounds off....but nope, here I am, with even more insecurities and new issues with bras and clothing not fitting correctly. I have so much extra skin that I cant even find a band big enough to support it all because my cup size is so small now. Not only that but my scars are AWFUL!!! I'm glad I'm married and dont have to have the anxiety and fear of rejection. I hate looking at my chest. Absolutely would not recommend him. HES KNOWN AS THE HASH SLINGER SLASHER FOR A REASON!!!!

I have been unhappy with the way my nose looked for a long time. I wanted to have my nose reconstructed. I am a local and decided to choose a local surgeon whom I thought had many years of experience. From start to finish, i have been disappointed. today i look in the mirror, knowing I put myself through a big risk. Only for someone I thought I could trust to not provide what I had asked for. Only to breeze through a surgery,on MY face, because there was something more important going on. I will never ever recommend you to anyone and I will continue to tell my story because you pick and chose what situation matters to you.

He is very knowledgeable, yet caring surgeon.I hesitated to seek out help for reconstructive surgeon following my experience with breast cancer. He was very informative, yet patient with my numerous questions.I was very happy with the results of the surgery!

Terrible

I decided to take the time to write this review because there isn't a day in my life that goes by for the last ten years that I haven't thought of Dr. Sena. Unlike most of the reviews here, I am very unsatisfied with my surgery. I was left with one nipple, as the other completely came off. I also had a stitch left in my breast that was there for years and finally I got another doctor to remove it as it sometimes would swell and have drainage. I have scars that will never go away no matter what I try. I have not been in any type of relationship since this surgery because my body is disgusting now and I am too ashamed to show myself in anyway. I don't know why Dr. Sena did this to me and it really scarred me physically and emotionally. I didn't deserve it, and no one else does. Please be aware of this as I would hate for anyone to feel the way I do about themselves. #Seriouslyscarredforlife

Dr. Sena botched two surgeries in a row with me. Furthermore, he charged me for the second surgery, even though it was clearly his responsibility for the many errors he made. I experienced "Anesthesia Awareness" (I woke up during the surgery completely paralyzed - unable to speak or move - yet I felt every bit of pain associated with cutting me open and scraping underlying tissue - as the anesthesia is simply sedation, there is no pain reliever administered.) When brought to the attention of Dr. Sena, he laughed and indicated that I had a "high tolerance to pain medication." When in fact the staff failed to administer enough anesthesia for the operation and they all failed to notice. After my hospital release, I immediately requested my medical records in person at Sena's office. The staff claimed the copier was broken and would mail me the copies. Once received, the records were obviously altered and riddled with false statements by Sena. I was awake for… approximately 25 minutes - able only to blink my eyes - a blue sheet over my head. Only once the staff noticed I was awake, and in severe pain - was I given additional anesthesia. I have been recently notified by a doctor from a different state that my eyes should have been taped shut as well. It's a nightmare to imagine that as my eyes were the only indication for this staff that I was fully awake and experiencing the severe pain. This occurs more often than physicians admit .... statistics indicate that this happens in 1 out of every 1,000 patients. Sena made no effort to rectify his mistakes. In addition, I am still undergoing surgeries to fix the many mistakes Sena made. I DO NOT recommend Sena to anyone for any type of surgery. I find him unethical and extremely unprofessional.

Dr. Sena was the best doctor that I chose for my breast reduction. His bedside manner was very professional, I checked out 4 doctors before I went to Dr. Sena. Once you go to Dr. Sena you will not go anywhere else. He took the time to explain the procedure and I was very delighted with the outcome of my surgery. He explained to me what he was doing and told me that my pain level would be very minimal, and he was correct. His staff is very professional and friendly.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sena's for 10 years. From the first appointment to present, he has always been easily approachable. If you have a question, he never makes you feel embarrassed to ask. H e was a very good source of information and strength when I was in active treatment for my cancer. Just recently, I needed more reconstruction on the breast with the tram flap. He picked the implant that is perfect for my body again. I feel whole again. All due to Dr. Sena's training and artistic eye.

Dr Sena is a great cosmetic surgeon. He took care of my issues, and allways listen to the patient about concerns. He would allways follow up with the patient in a very adequate time. Also his staff was very wonderful accomodating my appts.Overall very excellent. Thanks Dr. Sena
